GGB- Kinda funny.
Thier LB's coach quit (My Bro is the WRs coach) and Dom (The H.C) asked him to call me to coach LB's.
I was all over it when he called as I sat in work that day, until he said I'd have to be able to be AT THE AIRPORT TO HEAD TO THE CLINIC IN TAMPA THAT AFTERNOON!
Doh.
And you knew that already i thought.

Wow. That could have altered my entire football landscape. My new favorite team would have become "Whoever Was Gonna Tear Up Seth's Swiss Cheese Defense This Week" and I would have had to start leaving work early on Friday's to get the tailgating started at the appropriate time.

I'm already keeping a diary.
It may help the therapists when they find me making a cabin in the woods from old Volvo quarterpanels and Ikea catalogs.
Maybe it was a bad idea to start this thread with a Rich Kotite quote. Not a good omen for my team.

Long story short.
Married 21 year old Swedish au pair. Lived in Philly for ten years after that. We had a son (now 4 1/2). Moved to Sweden last June to be closer to wife's family and give the boy a more stable environment. When the 2005 NFL season started, I hosted MNF dinner on tuesday for football fans. One guy asks me to check out their team and I agree to help out as coach.

Just an update. My team has been running drills for about a week (thanks AE). They're no longer afraid of the ball. Or each other. I did manage to find a 6'5" reciever with good hands (soccer goalie).
Is anyone involved with High School ball over there?

The ice hockey guys are playing ice hockey now. I'm getting the team handball, soccer and field hockey guys.
The formerly 21 year old au pair is now 30 and expecting kid # 2 in 3 1/2 weeks.
Thongdar, this is not the place to be a pudgy, 40 yr old, married guy (especially if your wife's here). Lots of talent though. I can't wait for spring ( June 27th).

I love talent, even if MY wife hates that I love it. I think I'd hate Spring beginning on June 27th, though.
Congrats on kid #2.

Does anyone have a line on where to get used equipment? Gear is extremely expensive over here. High school size stuff.

Congratulations, BirdBoy!
FYI, there is a growing gridiron scene in the UK and you may be able to find a lot more people who have gone through a similar experience as yourself. I would sugest you take a look at www.nfluk.com
Good luck!

We start in 2 weeks. My starter just had shoulder surgery and his back-up is heading home to Thailand for his grandma's funeral and staying until July. Does anyone there know Brad Goebel's phone #?
