The great thing about Eskin is that his ignorance is not limited to football.

MY favorite Eskin moment is just this past August when he was talking to some guys in the Eagles caravan going out to Canton for the HOF game. The guy told him they were on the Pa Turnpike and Eskin started asking them if they were on the Northeast Extension, if they had just passed Quakertown, etc. Any moron not named Eskin knows that you would not take the NEX to go anywhere West but this guy was kinda clueless as well, all he really knew was that they were approaching Lancaster and the last exit they passed was Downingtown. Eskin was laughing at him telling him they were idiots that didn't even know where they were going. I didn't even stick around for the payoff but a friend of mine told me he did basically the same thing as when he was called on Carson Palmer/AFC and blame the original caller.

I guess he thinks that the Football HOF is in Cooperstown.

Asskiss always catches himself on the "players win games" defense of Reid, and shouts down anyone who calls him out for the faulty logic.

The fact that so many nimrods listen to him, despite his obvious lack of sports knowledge, is annoying.

However, I have to say that I LONG agreed with him on his Iverson stance and LONG DISagreed with him on his Abreu stance.

His Iverson hate was keyed in only by Barkley. I doubt he'd be smart enough on his own to figure that one out. And it became worse when AI got him suspended.

I forget who it was (was it Cataldi or Gargano?) that basically tore Eskin to shreds about the AI situation and how he never admitted that he came on Saturdays to make up for getting suspended.

His knowledge of Abreu only shows how much he knows about baseball.

He brags about making six figures (though it was reported somewhere that Cataldi makes 750k a year, and Eskin makes less than him).

Anything more than minimum wage is overpaying for this nimrod.

To me, he's on the same level as Skip Clueless, but with some contacts.

NEX to I-80 West has always been my route of choice to go west. Faster & less tolls.

Just sayin.

another eskin idiosyncrasy that falls under the category of just plain sad is his pretend affiliation with the university of miami, going so far as to wear a school ring even though HE NEVER WENT TO COLLEGE.

he must have gotten a continuing adult education postcard from them and felt special.

Really?

That's not just sad - that's pathetic. I remember him one time at the Orange Bowl on the sidelines trying to stick his head in another player's interview time, like some nimrod who wanted to show the folks at home that he was down there and on TV.

Of course, he defended his like of the Cowboys of the 90s as being "pro-Jimmy Johnson".

I don't know how anyone can take him seriously.

If Cataldi actually makes $750K, I'm going to be sick. I'd turn down a job that paid $750K to listen to every mintue of his shows for a year.

Apparently, I'm wrong about The Morning Moron (from an article that also dealt with Asskiss's suspension):

Cataldi signs new contract

WIP 610-AM morning host Angelo Cataldi, 53, signed a new five-year contract this week.

At the end of the deal, Cataldi will have logged 20 years in the same time slot at WIP, two years short of the record by the late Ken Garland.

Contract terms were not disclosed, but estimates place Cataldi's salary in the seven-figure range.

Egads.

Mind you, this was in 2002, so I'm thinking he's either due for an extension, or he already has one.

I don't know where you live, but if anyone wants to start at the WIP station and race to any point west, them taking the NEX to 80 and I get to just take the TPike, I am IN for that.

I'm bored so I'll argue. It is less than 30 miles longer going from Philly to the PA western state line via I-476 & I-80 than it is going turnpike the whole way. I am telling you that you can drive faster on I-80. You avoid Pittsburgh traffic using I-80. I-80 is an easier drive.

I-80 is better and faster. Done both.
