The only way to get it to work is to eliminate the $1 Bill (which would be fine with me, by the way).

A waste. Why do they insist on trying to push dollar coins on us? It will go over like the metric system and New Coke. I hated when I worked in Center City and would get single train tickets with a 10 or 20 spot only to get a pound of Susie B's back in change.

Hulk the train stations were honestly the only places I ever remember seeing the dollar coins.

I tried paying with one at a cafeteria before and the woman working the register asked "What the hell is that?" and didn't believe me when I told her it was a dollar.

Leave the coins to the Europeans

Because they make a lot of money on all the tools that collect them.


They need to get rid of pennies also. Install rounding software on all transactions. A restaurant I used to work at did that. Every check would end in a 0 or 5.

I have no idea how it works but I cant imagine coin collectors being that big a market to justify all the tax money wasted on production, distribution and marketing for a new coin. JMO. I am sure someone on the Level who is a collector or worked for the Mint will tell me otherwise.

The Mint was and is allegedly making just that on the State Quarters. I imagine this is an offshoot of that.

apparently a coin is cheaper to produce than a bill. seems counter-intuitive to me but that's what I saw on the news and you know it must be fact if it was on TV.

A friend of mine got kicked out of FSB for pulling that exact move once.

Most of the ladies at the establishments OleStoney frequents refuse any monetary donations from me. They tell me they are just happy to have me there and want to entertain me for my benefit and not for any Washingtons on their behalf.

I seriously don't. I think the only strip clubs I can name in Philly off the top of my head are Delilah's, Cheerleader's, and Day Dreams. I can't make "FSB" fit into any of those.

Dolla coins are good for keeping in the car and using for tolls.

I betcha they last a lot longer than paper money.
