Earth...GAZPACHO or Chicken Noodle?

Was it so hard to just start this thing?

Anyway, I think that Al Gore as a blow hard who is doing his, Save The Earth campaign becuase he craves the spotlight. Anything to say that big oil is bad and causes Global Warming is serving up F-ing softballs to the core Left. So if the guy wants to criticize others for not being "green". He better have his own shit together first.

Whether you agree with AL GOre or not, you ARE and idiot if you came to that opinion just by watching his move. Too many people jump on the political line, either side, without doing any reading of there own on the subject.

I, personally see the whole thing like this....is it getting warmer, yes slightly. Are we the main cause, maybe. Can I see the logic in that to many green house gases can effect the atmosphere that leads to warming, yes. Do I trust the people had exact readings of the globe over a 100 years ago, in the mean time they were still shiting outside, no. This, like most issues, is a political pawn, instead of a scientific issue, and thats my main problem with the data shown for both sides.

I dunno about that, dude. Albert Michaelson was measuring the speed of light to within a few hundreths of a percent of the actual value in 1877. I think your perception of the scientific rigor of the past few hundred years is, well, a few hundred years out of date.

Gore's response

The think tank said Gore used nearly 221,000 kilowatt hours last year and that his average monthly electric bill was $1,359. Johnson said his group got its figures from Nashville Electric Service.

But electric company spokeswoman Laurie Parker said the utility never got a request from the policy center and never provided them with any information.

Parker said Gore has been purchasing the "green power" for $432 a month since November. The Gore home is also under renovation to add solar panels, Kreider said.

Gore also owns homes in Carthage, Tenn., and in the Washington area.

Gore has said he leads a "carbon-neutral lifestyle." To balance out other carbon emissions, the Gores invest money in projects to reduce energy consumption around the globe, Kreider said.

"For every ton of carbon they emit, he offsets that by doing investments in renewable energy sources," Kreider said.

Too bad Gore didn't do coke, get arrested, or dodge Vietnam, which are apparently non-issues, politically speaking.

This character assassination stuff is pretty lame, given where it's coming from and given the vehemence of the defense of Bush's track record back in 2000.

Plus, (again, I am at the mercy of Crichton's figures) they say the cost to alleviate the alleged problem is 577 TRILLION.

In the meantime our "Non-carbon neutral" lifestyles have led to developments in medicine, agriculture, engineering, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Out of curiosity, why do you lend so much credibility to Crichton?

It's funny you mention that because I just bagged myself a Spotted Owl this morning. Shot it down with my red squirrel sinew slingshot.

Whenever I shoot down a spotted owl, I like to put it in my authentic baby seal skin backpack and carry it back to my H3.

H3? Are you some kind of homo?

That's a fuckin' compact!

Real environmental destroying enthusiasts like me, Seth, and Hoggish Greedly from Captain Planet know that the H3 is the "greenest" of all the H's, and therefore...CRAP.

Am I kicked out of the club now? Cause if I'm only borderline I'll propose that the next Level fishing trip go out and chase down some endangered humpback whales. If that's cool then I'll bring the dynamite.
