Munch, I wasn't making light of your wife's situation, I was making light of your ridiculous argument that your wife could take a man in a fight.

I was just talking to one of my wife’s colleagues.

What he said he thinks is going to happen is that sooner or later in one of these school shooting spree’s another student or teach is going to be packing as well. Then you will see fallout that is unimaginable…

These things never happen in the inner cities. Gang members would respond faster than the police.

That’s an angle I never considered…

Look, lets face it-

Its this damned "Pity the dork" sentiment that has been filtering in since the flick LUCAS that has given birth to these lone acne fields feeling uppity and a sense of "can do" when it comes to their station.

Thats right.

That natural pecking order has been neutered to a degree, w/ the Jocks taking a tamer approach or 1 of complete apathy cos of schools crackin down with admonishment and guilt training- like the whole stigma successfully placed on smokers.

The way it WAS - back in the day of lockerstuffins and last picks gettin wedgies and no milk at lunch was NATURAL SELECTION man! The Jocks and Preps etc subconciously KNEW These creeps, if left undisturbed and subjugated, would start rising up- go figure- loner style, and pull some of this ISH, so they always kept em down.

Now with these bleeding hearts running schools, huggin trees and tellin everyone to play nice and not lettin boys be boys- well, BANG BANG BANG!

Thats what ya get.

A bunch of "Jeremys" who think they can pull this crap.

Go back to self policing the halls and cafeteria's. Let teh jocks stuff a locker or 3 after a great game.
Let the preps count the zits on the dork who's staring at his girl in study hall- out loud.

Keep em in check and you dont have to worry about this crap soon after.

736 for office of School Superintendent- 2008.

Brutal.

So Grasshopper when some rich Mercedes driving jock stuffs you inside your school locker you must fight back.

You must KILL! KILL! KILL!

um, what?

They always kept to the bandfront, chess club and made their own underground newspapers back in my day.

No gun play or even mouthin off.
That would surely cost em an extra "books slapped outta hand" in the hall or an atomic Wedgie.

Have this kid's parents come forward yet and made any kind of statement? Am I the only one who thinks that perhaps a "Sorry my kid blew your kids away for no apparent reason" would be appropriate here? I get that they lost their son and they're grieving too and all, but come on - a person doesn't become THAT crazy without having SOME issues at home. You can throw the whole "he was bullied" thing out there as a possible reason all you want, but plenty of kids are bullied and they don't all turn into psychopaths. You wonder if maybe his homelife/parents could have been just as much a contributing factor as having to deal with all the Seths in school growing up.

Maybe stepping forward an offering a little bit of condolence or SOMETHING would be warranted I would think.

Maybe they've made some comments and I missed it, but I've been following this thing very closely and all I've heard so far is that they are "in seclusion." Must be nice.

chiclet, I know what you mean, but if I had lost a child down there I am pretty syre nothing they could say would make me feel any better... I like everyone else feels for those families and the rest of the student body, but I really feel bad for that kids parents. I wouldn't be surprised if it kills them, they not only lost their son(due to their neglect as parents or by not getting him the help he needed) but they also will most likely feel a HUGE backlash. The drycleaning business they own is in VA can anyone honetly believe that people will continue to go in there?!? the feeling would be to much, pain, uncomfortable silence, and perhaps even some resentment towards his family. so they not only lost their son, but most likely their business as well.

To answer your question about statements I've heard nothing from his parents but there was something on CBS3 last night about a statement from his grandmother (I believe) who is still in over in S.K. she basicly said he was a trouble boy even before he left for the US, something about him being to quiet... for what that's worth...
