An NBA ref with mob ties? gambling on games he reffed? What a dumbass. And to top it off, he's from Philly.

This is almost the worst thing that could happen to the NBA right now. Coming off an NBA Finals that was absolutely brutal. I do agree with Barkley that this clown is one bad apple. Problem is, how the NBA didn't catch some of this guy's horribly called games.

hopefully it was just one bad apple. Interesting how the game he reffed had a 4.5 point spread and he managed to call enough fouls to cover by 1.5.

One problem with this situation is the fact that refereeing in the NBA has got to be the most subjective refereeing in all of sports. There is always grey areas when making/not making a call but in the NBA a ref could call a foul every single time the ball comes down the court.

Per ESPN.com, the team whose games this guy reffed the most in 2006-2007: SIXERS, 8 games (tied with Heat).

I wonder how many of those were Sixers wins?? Might help explain some things...

Since we're talking about gambling...what are the odds the guy offs himself? I'm thinking about 10-1.

Word has it that despite his Philly roots, he's gonna start snitching.

He better hope they offer a spot in the Witness Protection Program.
