thought i'd rekindle an old thread.
since i'm getting old, ( 332 days til 5-0 ), i thought about some supplements i wanted to start taking besides the vitamin c
unlike many of my contemporaries, i take no meds and want to keep it that way.
heard a lot of good things about omega 3 fish oil, so i bought a jar. that was on a friday, by monday, the aching tendons in the back of my knees were gone ( i drive 40,000 miles/yr ) and most of my other joints felt better.
pretty sure it was the fish oil and not coincedence because i ran out about a month later and after 2 days, my knees ached the same way again. got more fish oil, 2 days later...pain was gone.
one drawback...fish oil " thins " your blood, kind of like aspirin does. cut myself last week and a small cut turned into the red sea.
so i now know it works on tendons and joints...the question is why ?
