First off, I will root for any team playing the Red Sox (except maybe the Mets). That sid, that comment coming from anyone else would be deadly. Coming from Manny, not so bad. He is laid back and playing well. He is hitting and playing the field extremely well. It's not like he is half-assing it in the games.

If he played for the Phils, yeah, he would be chased out of Philly quicker than "Wild Thing" was run outta Jersey.

Excuse me for sounding like Bill Simmons, but I'm guessing the reaction to this in Bah-stin would've been 100 times worse if not for 2004.
