Garrett Reid was sentenced to two to 23 months in jail today on charges stemming from a January traffic accident, and it was also disclosed that he had smuggled 89 pills into jail by secreting them in his rectum.
Reid was sentenced by Judge Steven O'Neill in Montgomery County Court.

O'Neill said the pills were found in the jail this morning. Reid could face additional charges for smuggling the pills.

After sentencing, Reid, 24, was returned to jail. His father, Eagles coach Andy Reid, and his mother, Tammy, were in the courtroom. Neither spoke.

At the sentencing hearing, Reid said he had struggled with drugs since high school.

"I'm at the point in my life where I have already made the decision that I don't want to die doing drugs."

"I don't want to be that kid who was the son of the head coach of the Eagles who was spoiled and on drugs and OD'ed and just faded into oblivion," he said in court.

Shooting up the "H" is hardly glorified in hip hop. Making it Rain and smoking blunts, maybe. But these kids were into some hardcore stuff and I dont think any change in musical genre they listened to would make a difference.

I hate to say it, but we're looking at what would have happened to Donnie Mac if would have ended his career under Reid.

A judge who sentenced Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid's sons to jail on Thursday likened the coach's home to "a drug emporium" and questioned whether his adult sons should live there, given their drug problems.

"There isn't any structure there that this court can depend upon," Montgomery County Judge Steve on heroin.

O'Neill noted that searches of the Reid family's home and vehicles found a long list of drugs, guns and ammuniton.

He said both boys had been overmedicated throughout much of their lives and that Britt got hooked on painkillers when he suffered a football injury in high school.

"It sounds more or less like a drug emporium there with the drugs all over the house, and you're an addict," O'Neill told Britt Reid.

Funny Story:

A friend of mine was visiting his friend in jail two days ago and Garrett Reid was in the cell next to him. He said that Reid was sitting there with his head in his hands apparently pissed off/embarrassed about something.

Wonder if he had just gotten busted for sticking drugs in his bum-bum?

If Andy could somehow get himself in there the Boys would be snacking on Percs for the duration of their sentences.

The true irony of this whole mess is Reid literally raised two boys whose character issues would prevent even their own father from drafting them.

Yup...Sunday reeks of a blowout.

Reid isn't at practice while his players are pontificating to the media about life and family.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys are 6-1, coming off an blowout loss to the Pats, and had two weeks to prepare for this game.

Reid, the egomaniac who hates his children, is killing this team.

He is no different than any other parent in this country with a "power job". He had no clue what was going on at home and was seldom there. And when he finally realized there was a problem, he threw money at it.

Too bad this is one of the few problems money doesn't solve.

Maybe "hates his kids" is strong, but "doesn't care enough to know they are heroin addicts dealing drugs for 5 years our of their own home", is pretty bad.

You've got to love them enough to pay at least the slightest amount of attention to them. I mean, the judge called their house a "drug emporium" and neither of them has a clue? Come on...

Maybe the judge is being dramatic and trying to get his name out there, like the crying judge in the Anna Nicole Smith thing.
