The Republicans will use it to distract the public from the real issues. Which is why they all voted against shelving it. There will be a backlash against the Dems IMO which they don't need going into a major election year.

sadly, i agree with dino. anyone voters who still support chaney at this point wouldn't be dissuaded if they found proof that he was serial child rapist.
this will be spun by repubs as the democrats taking partisan shots at the administration while avoiding the real issues (like amendments to gay marriage and iran about to start WWIII).
