I can't believe this thread hasn't been started yet.
Anyways, I like to give thanks to all the American Indians for giving up their land and getting wiped out first- it made things a lot softer on us black folks,
Thanks to Whitey for letting me learn how to read, write, vote, and steal his women,
Thanks to George Bush for keeping us safe-
until the next attack,
Thanks to Rush Limbaugh for keeping me entertained,
Thanks to Mr. Whipple for "letting me squeeze the Charmin",
Thanks to all the clowns on the 700 Level for treating me well and with respect,
And special thanks to all our troops who are kicking ass and taking names, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Thanks

Thanks for sarcastic, rambling posts and terse, caustic replies ... two things without which this site could not survive.

Happy Thanks giving to all on this board, your families and friends!
I hope that you take time to say thank you to the ones who love you, help you and make you enjoy life. You also on this day, need to take time to DO(not just think about it)
help those who need help.
On this day THANK those who fight for you. Next time you see someone from our military, just go up to them and say thank you for their service. I don't care if you agree with this war or not, those guys never had a choice, say THANK You.
Life is short. Take the time to enjoy. As someone who has a debilitating chronic illness, enjoy every day. Love your family, and stand by your beliefs, but be willing to learn more.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Back in the Kitchen with the help- there's 3 trashcans that need to be emptied and the elders are starting to look around as if to say "where IS the desert?"
STFU you whining, UNfunny jackass with no sense of comedic timing or honest sense of sarcasm.
Get to work.

Happy Happy from Sweden.
As my family sits down to our meal of smuggled cranberry sauce & pumpkin pie, I give thanks to all on the Level for hours of free entertainment.
You get what you pay for.

Wow. Two STFUs!!! in one thread. Nice. I love how when the ripping is on blacks it's "funny" but when it's about whites it's "whining". Maybe somebody ought to look in the mirror.

Anyway- I was curious about this today:
Is there anyone here who actually goes out shopping on Black Friday?
Personally, I'd rather spend the extra dough.

I tried today for the first time. Got up at 4:30 to save $600 on a laptop/printer deal, but I was too late.

Everytime I see these people bustling and jockeying to try to get into the store first, I wonder how many fistfights happen on this day every year. I'm betting a lot.
I'm not a big bargain hunter, but $600 sounds like a lot. What percent off is that, and what type of deals are typical? Maybe I would change my mind if the deal was on something I REALLY wanted and got a REALLY good deal on. Otherwise, I'd leave the traffic and mob scenes to the bravehearts.

It was actually a little more. It went from about $900+ to $229.
There were some other deals, but I can't remember. I think there's always some ridiculous deals like that, but obviously in limited number, and then since you're there you buy some of the stuff that doesn't have a great sale price.
F_B, if you're still thinking getting the gaming system, tomorrow (Saturday) Walmart is having a crazy deal where you get 10 bluray dvd's instantly with the 80 gig PS3

I took a shot on No Tip Friday today as well. Up at Sears at 5am for a TV, they wrote me a ticket for it but they were sold out by about 5:25, I was back in bed by 5:40. I don't think I will ever do that again, I refuse to actually wait in line and most of the people that the sale brought out were brutal.

Same with Best Buy. I felt like I was in a movie about a nuclear war, or watching video from the 80's about bread lines in Russia.

A Black Friday Theory
One of the reasons these retailers pull this crap a couple of times a year for people to get all frenzied about super deals which only about 15% of the people will actually get, while the majority like GGB go thru the hassle of waking up before dawn, batting the Road Warrior traffic and fighting the Bravehearts hand to hand only to get left holding an empty bag is:
They want you to be so angry with the Black Friday experience that you actually would rather spend the regular prices year round than actually get a deal. They purposely understock so that majority of people are like- "I'll never try to get over on Wal-Mart again: Full price from now on."
Just a theory.
