Has anyone sold tickets via Stubhub?

Okay, lets say I'm on the Bucs season ticket waiting list, I buy 6 tickets to their playoff game and immediately list the tickets on Stubhub. Let's say the tickets sell, Stubhub gets their 15% cut and I get paypal'd money. Am I just looking this gift horse in the mouth? Why do I feel bad about picking up tickets for face and hopefully selling them for some change? Am I the worse capitalist ever?

I guess I should hope for the Giants to play Tampa Bay and for some rich New Yorkers to be looking for tickets, eh?

Don't feel bad about making money, funk, especially when all you have to do is a quick turnaround.

That might not work out so well because Giants fans are kind of fickle.

Around 7 or so years ago, the Birds advanced to the second round of the playoffs in New York. For some reason, the Giants had playoff tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster outlets, so I left work, waited in line for an hour, and picked up a pair. As the week went on, I couldn't find any Birds fans who wanted to go to this game. Moreover, the weather forecast was looking grim, and I had a bad hunch that this was shaping up to be an ugly loss for the Eagles.

Since I didn't want to go suffer through the inevitable solo in an opposing team's stadium, I decided to sell them, thinking I could score big for a playoff game. I couldn't get squat. It was even becoming a huge challenge to find someone to go, and the Giants were really good back then. Everyone was saying, "Nah. We'll wait until the next round."

Eventually, I sold them on the night before in a bar to some guy who paid face value. I was lucky to find him.

I think the Birds lost 20-10. Of course, this was back when the team was young, years before they would grow into their current powerhouse offense.

That was the game NYG returned the opening kickoff for a TD, and I think when Sehorn had that ridiculous interception for a TD.

I am sure tha that Banner, when he goes to make any sort of personal profit, thinks to himself, "Yeah, but does this impact a Divisional Rival, and could I reall look Funky49 in the face if I did it?"

Funk, you will never make money if you don't step on a few toes/needless loyalties.

There are over 2500 tickets already listed at a minimum of $250 per pair (after fees)

I actually did this with Redskins obstructed view tickets ($30 face value) this past year and made a lot of money off it.

Also, it's good to know that it's a seller's market early and a buyer's market late, so if you want to make some cash, sell these things ASAP because the demand tends to decrease over time.

That's right Talon. Hell, if you don't mind missing kickoff, you can get a playoff ticket for 20 bucks

I like that advice. Demand will probably be at its highest when the visiting team's fans first hit the web to get tickets.

It's the economy stupid. Most people are saying the 200 section is too expensive. That's why maybe I should contact my friend who knows cash-laden dealers of controlled substances.

I assumed that since you were buying them from the Bucs you were getting them at face.
