Before anyone jumps down my throat, I think they have some level of democracy still, but not quite like us. But I am not sure.

If this gets traced back to the Pakistani military, which I know would be simply shocking!, and we look the other way, there'd be an international perception that we support a dictator and assassination over democracy.

Nothing new in our foreign policy, of course.

Religion of Peace?

We need to pit the "Religion of Peace" up against the "Culture of Violence", hook up a webcam, crack a beer, sit back and watch.

I've been saying for weeks that this woman wants to be killed, and now she got her wish and may live forever in martyrdom.

However, this will just lead to an even bigger chaotic mess, as Sharif has swept in and pretended to be her ally. I wouldn't be shocked if his people didn't kill her, seeing as he has much to gain from her death and is already tied to religious extremists. All of this equals bad times for the U.S. There looks to be no way out in Pakistan now.

A couple of weeks ago, I rode in a cab with a Pakistani driver, and I asked him what he thought of Musharraf, Bhutto, and Sharif. He loved Musharraf and hated the other two. He said Musharraf's biggest mistake was that he didn't kill them off. I told him how I though Bhutto would be dead within months, and his response was "GOOD! She deserves to die! I hope someone kills her!"

The driver really had an interesting way of warming up to his passenger in hopes of getting a good tip.

Or it could be because she was a corrupt politican in both her previous terms and she comes from a family known for oppression and 'offing' political rivals....

I'm not sure any members have been convicted of corruption, just accused by the Military Junta that conducted the Coup D'Etats. Her Pop was imprisoned and executed without trial. Her Brother was murdered in France(?).

They just seem to me, to be a Family that wanted Democracy in a Country that couldn't handle it.

King Hussein of Jordan said that some Countries aren't mature enough to handle Democracy. Looks like he's right.
