What are some of the ones you have that you will admit to?

Some of mine:

1. I must face all cash that I deal with. My own, my cash drawer at work. I can’t leave a register when I pay for something without facing my money first.
2. When I eat a meal I always it sequentially. Starch, veggie, protein is the patter I always follow.
3. All glassware in my house must be arranged by type. I have been known to rearrange glassware at other people’s homes if I help clean up after a meal.
4. I honestly feel violent when I encounter a tube of toothpaste not squeezed from the bottom.

I’m sure I will come up with others.

Here on the level we have a guy who brings his own salt shaker to the movies and guy who would rather shit in a potato chip can then use a public restroom. I’m sure this thread will be interesting.

1. Always arrange my money from large to small bills (outside to in) with the dead prez faces directed inwards. PLUS, all of them have to be arranged so that the head is up.

Um...that is it for now.

1.Money

a.) by denomination, facing same direction, heads up.

b.)Unless you have SARS give me my change in my hand. I have called many a tellers and cashiers for this. The only exception is at a bar.

2. Fast Food drive thrus- will not leave the window until I have thoroughly checked the bag for my correct order, condiments and napkins. Forgetting my fries is a capital punishment resulting in death.

3. Toothpaste squeezed from bottom

I am sure I will think of more.

Right, cause it's such a tragedy if the food order is even slightly messed up.

Get the F outta the way.

Scraping the tartar/may off my fast food sandwiches instead of asking them to not put it on. Somehow I've not gotten used to saying "no mayo", but then again, when I do, they ignore me, so what's the point?

I almost never carry cash, and am beginning to have a somewhat condascending opinion of those that do, feeling that they facilitate longer checkout lines and criminals.

I'll remember that next time the guy in front of me uses a credit card to get his $2 cup of coffee

I don't have many that I'm aware of, but one thing that makes me a little crazy is my wife with HDTV.

If shes watching something on TV that could be viewed in HD, she always watches it on the standard definition channel anyway.

It's just crazy to me that someone would have two options side by side (HD and grainy mess) and consistently choose the inferior option over and over again.

That's like being able to have a cheesesteak and having Pat's instead of something good!

More likely the $2.09 cup of coffee and 5 minutes for the cashier to figure out how the change can be issued without dimes.

I'm with GGB...I only carry cash when I know I'll need cash. I usually have a couple bucks on me so I don't have to buy a cup of coffee a debit card, but I don't see the point of cash on a day to day basis.

but I don't see the point of cash on a day to day basis.

Because some stores won't let you use plastic unless you're spending a considerable amount, or they just don't use plastic at all.

There's a Mexican restaurant in Mt. Airy that didn't take cards, but you'd figure they might, since all their food is overpriced anyway.

Well I'm not talking about buying a Sony Bravia with a piggy bank, but I do think it's just as annoying when someone in front of me buys a 1.15 soda from the place downstairs and uses a credit card

Too many people brainwashed by those Visa commercials, KB. Did that person carry a beatbox, too?

Cash is stupid and becoming pointless. And as card swipe terminals get better and faster (The ones at Target are f'ing awesome, no cashier can possibly make change as fast as they process cards) my anger grows towards those that use/carry it. Including my wife.

bass makes a good point, there are a lot of restaurants that don't accept cash, too. And I'm not spending over $10 when I just want the $1 bag of popcorn at Nuts 2 You!

In the last 8 or so years, I think I've only encountered one place that didn't accept plastic...though some have a $10 minimum.

The Visa commercials are powerful, I admit. But it's not about people racking up credit card debt it's about them getting their fees. But make no mistake, businesses that refuse to accept plastic are MUCH more likely doing it to avoid taxes and audits than they are to avoid the approx 2.5% (or less for debit cards) fee.

I don't care why they're avoiding it, I just know I'll need cash there

And, as one that deals with credit card directly, the minimums are actually pointless. The only possible reason to establish a minimum is because there is a per transaction fee for some cards (really only debit cards). But it's like 10 cents, maybe a smidge more for Amex.

The bigger stores are definitely getting faster and faster...there is a 3 second processing time at places like Target and Wal-Mart.

However, the real assholes aren't cash people. They are check people.
