Im honestly amazed at this point.
Bass- you are a musician on some level. It's not some random, ultra specific to a particular genre act we're talking about here.
It's Doc Effing Watson.
Neag -you have a wide array of music appreciation from our many texts, I'd think you would have at least HEARD of the man.
Just finished watching , well, listening to the 5 part documentary - The Three Pickers- via youtube (5 parts) at my desk here. Excellent stuff gentlemen.
It's better to watch because you can really see how difficult some of what they're doing is but it's a great listen too.
I think this is a PBS special that they trot out when the begging season rolls around because I know I've seen it a time or 2 and it was either on FUSE or PBS.

Usually if I google the name of someone borderline I can pick up a song or two or something to make a relation but even that spaced me. Then again my country interest is limited to Johnny Cash. This isn't Sgt. Beefeater bad but probably belongs in Dino's thread.
