first of all, many of the drugs they get are ahead of the curve on the testing. so they could very well still be on them. there's just no way to tell. they can't test for the drug until they're aware of its existence, and by then the players are moving onto something bigger and better. the guys that are caught now are usually shitty players, guys on the fringe, so they probably don't have the same resources to stay on the cutting edge of Roid technology

Right, unless they can get the papertrail, which is how they got most of them have gotten caught (except for the non 2003 tested athletes that were told their results would never be public until the were made public).

yeah and that hasn't happened for a while to a big time guy. it's the guys i mentioned before, Jason Grimsley getting drugs delivered to his house. the athletes got smarter after one guy helping them out ratted out hundreds of people

Kaye Cowher (Bill's wife) passed away from cancer today.

Man that's got to be tough. How can we have electric cars and 5,000 tv channels and they haven't found a cure for this shit yet?

^Amen. Baffles me too. Saw an article about how close scientists believed they were to a cure, but then again those types of articles come out every so often and in those scenarios I guess the saying holds true, "so close, yet so far away".

All these NFL-related deaths and Pat Summerall is still alive. Honestly, I still prefer him to Joe Buck.

Here's a question, how do guys like Summerall manage to do a job while 3 sheet to the wind when others can barely do it sober.

For example:

D Stockton - f*cks at least three names per game.

D Enberg - awful poems and sounds like a pedophile.

any Albert spawn - enough with the NY monotone.

J Buck - kiss him, already.

J Nantz - so bland, he makes Phill Simms look edgy.

B Gumbel - Paul Mooney was wrong. BG makes Pope Benedict XVI look like Malcolm X.

A Michaels - I won't even dignify this failed actor milking a career off a scripted line.

Today's ADD generation could never sit through a Summerall broadcast. There would be too much dead air time. Personally, I loved his minimalist PBP style.

Montana......Rice......Touchdown...........32 yards.

I mean, what more does he really need to say?

I actually like Nantz. He brings the right amount of energy but never makes it about himself or tries to overdo it.

Tirico doesn't annoy me, which I guess is saying a lot. I think he'd be better on MNF with someone less retarded than Gruden.

Other than Harry, everyone else sucks.

I kind of enjoy Colinsworth. He's a good mix of energy and knowledge of the game and I don't have a problem with his speach pattern. Sure, he's like the goofy guy in the bar when he's talking to the guys but he seems more like a dude than most of the other stiffs they put up there.
