Buddy Miles was a great one. I still have an album (yes, vinyl) of Carlos Santana and Buddy Miles Live. Basically an hour long jam session. Of course "Freeformfunkafidefilth" was the entire side 2 track (25+ minutes of jamming).

RIP Buddy

RIP Arthur C. Clarke.

Never read any of his stories, but 2001 is one of the best movies ever made.

Arthur C Clarke was actually a friend of my wife's family. He was a fascinating person. One of the funniest people I have ever met as well.

You might not agree with his cause, but you can't say that he didn't follow his convictions. He followed them regardless of public opinion, or possible backlash. The guy had his beliefs and he wasn't afraid of following them in the public eye.

Heston's resume regrettably included films like "Earthquake" but it also includes all-timers like "Ben-Hur" and, of course, "The Ten Commandments". I can think of very few performances that have stood the test of time as well as those two have.

And, given that he had alzheimer's, it certainly was noble of Michael Moore to use him as an onscreen propaganda tool.

I definitely felt bad for him. He was taken advantage of by a younger, fatter man.

RIP to the Heston.

So the NRA lets a man with Alzheimer's be the President and public spoksesman for the largest gun lobby in the United States?

Fred, it's not like they left him in charge of teaching children gun safety or working the door while armed.

No, but if he's going to be the face of the organization, he's going to be interviewed.

Didn't we find out about his Alzheimer's after the interview took place?

No, but if he's going to be the face of the organization, he's going to be interviewed.

It was still a scumbag move. He was there under false pretenses, snuck up on the guy at his house, blamed him for dead children, and lied to him about timelines.

It was one of those moments that made your skin crawl and that was before I even knew he was slowly losing his mind.

It was still a scumbag move. He was there under false pretenses, snuck up on the guy at his house, blamed him for dead children, and lied to him about timelines.

That's a different argument. I was responding to your point that "it's not like they left him in charge of teaching children gun safety or working the door while armed", that's all.

It's less of a scumbag move when you consider that he didn't know he had Alzheimer's. It was a typical Moore interview with "the bad guy"
