christ, it's like listening to my grandfather explain the benefits of his 6 dollar haircut and the toothpaste he makes out of baking soda and water.
hearing how i got a similar product 2 years ago for that cheap is like hearing a really old person talk about getting something 50 years prior? weird.

fd right now is like MJ vs the Cavs (for fd: MJ was a basketball player, known for forwarding his team past a team from cleveland named the cavaliers, in the national basketball association)

nope, you misread. he currently extolls the virtues of these thrifty shortcuts. and your instance that some 2 year old $200 pc is basically the same thing as a new macbook air was similarly entertaining.
and you use OS Lion regularly? i guess through work?

yes, at work we use several macs. we got lion on the one a month ago.
i'm sorry i don't see a need to spend $1000 more on extremely minor benefits. most it and computer guys i know feel the same way about it. if you're happy with it, fine. i don't mean to begrudge you that

i think the way people feel about the company in general, is the annoying thing. they are the worst company to deal with in getting apps onto itunes. it's not safety/quality issues or anything, either. we, and several other companies are trying to deal with their system right now

i understand wozniak and jobs' weight differential allowed for a hilarious annual vaudeville-type act they put on at the company christmas party.
another thing we'll miss.

wozniak seems like a really good dude, from what i've read. also just saw a clip of him waiting in line like any other shlub to get an iphone a few years ago, talking to everybody, and getting excited telling everyone that jobs was coming to the store that day.

Apple is 25% innovation, 75% marketing.
If Steve Jobs looked like Bill Gates nobody would know his name.

the irrational jobs hate is hilarious. um, olv, he'd be famous if he'd only built Pixar, which ranks like 5th on the list of his most important and impressive accomplishments.
in other words, you could probably take his accomplishments, divide them 5 ways, and create 5 individual lives that would have been renowned as of legendary importance.

Bill Gates looks like Bill Gates and everyone knows his name.
Jobs helped shape the lives of almost everyone in developed countries the world over. Even if someone didn't own any Apple products, innovation was spurred by competition with Apple. His life was a classic American success story.
I say all this with gritted teeth in spite of all the hipsters spamming FB like their mom, sister, and dog just died in a horrific accident.
