Watched "In Debt We Trust" a documentary about America's obsession with credit.

Good concept, thought it was handled rather limply by the filmmaker. Missed the mark on what could have been a great doc.

I didn't think I'd like this movie but it kind of grew on me as it went along.

The ending kind of bummed me out but overall I liked it.

NEAG- does it count if its all inherited and youve done nothing to actually be a 1%er?

(Not familiar with the Doc.)

Havent seen No Country for Old Glenns, will have to check that out.

Just watched the 1 on Rev. Phelps and it gave me equal parts laughter and shivers.

Fantastic.

I recorded it a couple days ago, but only watched the first couple minutes so far.

I'm watching "Who killed the electric car?" and "No Country..." in the next couple nights.

I watched "Who Killed the Electric Car" last night and it was really, really good. The lengths GM went to kill a technology with a great deal of promise were pretty astounding.

I almost felt compelled to join the movement if I wouldn't have had to give up the V8 SUV.

i've had "electric car" in my queue for a while. i've watched so many documentaries about government and corporate evil in the last few months, i don't think i can handle another one for a while.

In the grand scheme of things it wasn't the travesty some other situations are, but it was eye opening.

Once they got the state of California to lay down (where they would have to sell 10% zero emission vehicles per year in CA) they went so far as pulling the cars off the road. They only leased (refused to sell) the cars and they started calling in the leases with no option to buy. Once they had the cars, they crushed them and threw them in landfills.

They then started promoting Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, which they anticipate might be road worthy in 20 or 30 years. The only catch for the consumer is fuel will be roughly 2-3 times the current price of gas.

It's just hysterical when you think about it. All they really want to do is make a car that will require maintenance and force you to pay for the next fuel option provided by oil companies.
