I don't know why I'd be offended at you having an old copy of a movie.
Did ET come out before or after your dishwasher?

In addition to the obvious praise of BTTF, I think it's one of the most perfectly cast films I've seen. Every actor involved seemed born to play the role they're in. Crispin Glover gives one of my favorite supporting performances of any movie. It also features one of the best all-time comedic villains in Biff Tanner.
It's just an infinitely rewatchable, enjoyable movie.
I also think Airplane is great.

Haven't seen ET in about 28 years, so I'll pass.
Also edited out was the phrase "You look like a terrorist"
Slight threadjack - in the "Transformers" cartoon, they had an ep where a ME country was named "Carbombya", with a tyrant with less than loose morals (Casey Kasem quit before the ep went on-air, since he's of Arabic descent). Just goes to show a LOT of stuff was let go back in the day.
And there's NO way this ep sees the light of day again.

That's a tough one. Might need some carbon dating to truly find out.
So do you see the humor in "penis-breath"? Or is it like me hearing someone called "protein shake" breath?

Bass- a) How do you know so much about Transformers cartoons b) did anyone ever remember Casey Casem doing voices for that show? and c) THATS EFFIN HILARIOUS!!!! CARBOMBYA? CLASSIC.
Zak mentioned Crispin Glover. The guy not only was PER-FECT in that role, but the guys very underrated in general.
In fact when I 1st heard that they were goin to do another Batman flick (which will release I believe next month) & that the Joker was goin to be the central antagonist, I thought Glover woulda been a PERFECT fit there as well.
Not just the physicality he could bring to the role and how its a natural fit- but he is more than a few fries shy of a happy meal upstairs in the ol' noggin if ya dig.

Huge fan. HUGE fan. Especially since I have a collection of the toys and all the G1 cartoons on DVD (and the cartoons and original movie are a fascinating example of advertising to kids, since TF was huge back in the day).
It also baffles my mind at how some of the toys can go for 3-4 figures, even if they're not minty fresh. And NO, I've never paid that much.

I'll broker a deal between you and Bass, put you in contact with one another etc, for a small service fee of 10% of whatever you make on your old junk that Bass covets.

agreed and agreed. i'm excited to see ledger in the role, but could totally see crispin as the joker. in fact, seems like he would have been a perfect supervillian in at least one of the 8,000 comic book movies of the past decade and a half.
for those who saw it, he was "grendel" in beowulf as was great, even though it was CGI'ed. his "crispiness" came through strongly.

I did look online quickly and it looks like just about any old transformer action figure will net you about $35 or more on the interwebs, with higher prices for items that are more rare or in the original packaging.
Hopefully GI Joes will be worth money after that movie comes out.

Out of what you have, TFs make the most money off of ebay, aside from original Star Wars stuff (no, I'm not an expert). Just think - trade in all your junk and you'll have enough money to afford another 360!

BTTF? It was ok...guess I just never found it to be a classic.
Loved Weird Science. Awesome.
PS, I did watch Transformers the movie. Incredible action. CGI wasn't out of place or too obvious. Megan Fox is the hottest chick on the planet. Maybe Anna Kournikova/Scarlett Johansson but maybe not.

Not likely - they'll probably be releasing a new toy line for that movie (and that movie looks like it's going to suck). TF prices actually went down with China making tons of cheap knock-offs and the new movie crap diluting the pool.
And another thing I was robbed of (until recently): Profanity! NSFW clip (it's short) of profanity in TF: The Movie:

That's weird...I thought with increased popularity and nostalgia, the original lines would gain in value.
I know nothing about this sort of thing, though.
