How old was Crispen Glover when he tried to trademark his nose?

Loved "This is England", though the ending felt a bit rushed and pat.

Flesh- have you seen "Dead Man's Shoes"? Same writer/director.

Fred, you are lashing out at me in several threads. You should settle down.

There is an article in the Economic stimulus thread that you should read(it even has bar graphs!!), even though I'm sure you will ignore it.

2012 was shit, obviously, but not as bad as I expected. I think that as a result of the scathing reviews, my expectations were lowered to the point where I could give it a C minus is I didn't get HIV from watching it.

really? tried watching it last in a fit of insomia and i literally thought it was one of the most boring and ridiculous things i'd ever seen. i kept waiting for it to get to the point, but i finally gave up. maybe my brain is fried, i don't know.

Hot Tub Time Machine was a movie that should not have ever worked, but did on some levels. I thought the first half of the movie was fucking hilarious and it just lost all steam after that, but it was definitely worth watching. Also, they get style points for casting George McFly, who doesn't look like he's aged a day in the last 20 years.

agreed. totally worth watching.

For those of you of a certain age & "nerdy" persuasion. When did we find out that they were going to make Empire Strikes Back (1980)? Star Wars was out in 1977. It seems like a fait d'accompli in hindsight, but I don't remember.

It was just so roundly destroyed by the critics and viewers that I had absolutely no expectations. It was definitely bad.

Next in the "Sweet Movies My Wife Didn't See When She Was A Kid Because Her Parents Didn't Let Her Have PRISM" series is "Brewster's Millions".

KB, I just finished watching that Bad Lieutennant movie.

There were so many plot holes and so much bad acting I don't even know where to begin.

Ok, how about this doozy.

What happened to Cage getting a hearing for cutting off that old lady's oxygen?

It's like they either cut out a major part of the movie, or the screenwriters were stoned and forgot
