I like Deadliest Catch, but I agree it can get boring, too.

24 has been absolutely fantastic this season.
Nice to see Elisha Cuthbert back last night, but she definitely is not looking her best. At 26 it's pretty surprising how quickly she's fallen off from her peak.
I'm afraid we're not going to see the likes of Cuthbert '01-'03 ever again. She's not walking through that door. She should have posed nude while she still had the goods.

24 was fantastic again last night, however I am very disappointed in the writers this week. Agent Tits Walker + bullet proof vest = suffocating the puppies.
Do the writers really want to participate in such animal cruelty? Right now they should be thrown in prison by the US government like Mike Vick was.

I'm still in. It's definitely fallen off a cliff over the last couple seasons in terms of quality, but I'll hang in there.

Anyone giving "Hung" a shot? It's not terrible, I do kind of like the "rewind" way in which some storylines are shot.

i'm on the fence with "hung". not bad, not riveting, minimal laughs. i'm willing to give it a few more episodes to find it's groove.
re: entourage, while it clearly isn't the show it once was, i think "falling off a cliff" is a little strong. i always get a bad feeling, though, when a show tries to "transition" it's characters. hard to keep the same chemistry, which is what "entourage" is all about.

I agree with the "falling off a cliff" statement. I still watch it, but it's more cringeworthy than anything now. Didn't see last night's yet

I never understood how they'd be doing guy things at night like drinking tequila, smoking weed, fucking, but the next morning at breakfast it's like Sex and the City

I just found out that Jerry Ferrara aka Turtle is dating Jamie-Lynn Sigler in real life...how the hell did that happen?
Entourage is a turn off the mind and just watch show for me....it's an easy watch and entertaining so i don't get caught up too much in the progression of the characters unlike say, the Wire, Mad Men or Breaking Bad.

I'm not worried about the progression either, they've just had some really bad shows. The Busey episode in the desert was really retarded, I hate how they kept forcing a Turtle/Johnny Drama storyline in addition to the main story, crap like that makes the show bad. The characters haven't developed, and I don't care, b/c they're shallow celebs in LA, that's how it should be. Just felt like they had nothing to talk about for a while

i actually hate the Drama character....he's a freaking cartoon. and the idea of E's character pulling in top notch tail is kind of funny. but yet, i continue to watch.
i do, however, enjoy the Busey episodes and ones were C-listers like him, Bob Saget, and Eric Roberts lampoon themselves.

Does anyone here admit to having to "concentrate" when watching any drama or comedy on TV?
Print media and books maybe, but anyone who needs to "turn on their mind" to watch any fictional show on television is hurting for brain cells

I gotcha, but I've always thought that the bad acting on this show made it kind of realistic. I mean, both Vince and Drama are terrible actors, which is not unlike people who'd be in their position in Hollywood.
Entourage is probably the one show where bad acting doesn't bother me.

it usually doesn't bother me, just saying why doing them and watching that are a bit different. it just wasn't amusing to me, and was only one of that whole season that sucked

There should be a support group for men whose wives/girlfriends are into Desperate Housewives. It is the worst hour of my week, every week, bar none. An unartistic, unfunny, uniteresting portrayal of four ugly broads leading their pointless lives. Television for the braindead. Possibly grounds for divorce.

I actually watched the first season of that show, and I thought it was rather entertaining. However, I recently watched an episode for the first time in several years and was astonished to see just how incredibly awful and ridiculous it's become.

olv, two solutions for you:
1. Tivo/DVR. Turns the one hour into 40 minutes
2. Online poker. It's the activity I do when my wife is watching that show

Nope, she needs to see it as soon as it airs every week. Then she calls up her dumb friends and yaps about what happened for the next hour and a half.
At this point, I honestly need to leave the house when it's on. Watching her sit there glued to that horse crap is genuinely depressing.

I just watched Entourage and realized two things:
1) That show has the one of the worst theme songs ever. I fucking hate that stupid-ass song.
2) That episode kinda sucked.
