Dude, I have almost an indentical story. Out shopping with my mom and 2 sisters about a year after the Caddyshack deal and my older sister chimes in and convinces my mom to take us all to see "SOB". Only to realize later that Family Movie Icon Julie Andrews drops her shirt and shows boobie at the end of it. I think my mom was mortified but stopped short of yanking me outta there and making a scene, especially considering that the movie was all but over 5 or 10 minutes after it occurs.

I can't remember the first studio movie (probably a cinemax/HBO/Prism free preview), but the first one I distinctly remember was Boyz N the Hood because my grandmother rented it and watched it with me.

seth, i remember the shower scene distinctly because i saw "european" first and thought at the time that maybe it was the greatest movie ever.
then saw "regular" vacation, which i didn't like as much at the time, but have grown to love. no nudity, but goddamn did i want to bang audrey with her half-pony tail and box full of reefer.
"x-mas vacation" is excellent.
if i had to rate them now, it'd be:
1. vacation
2. x-mas vacation a close second
3. european vacation
4. vegas vacation (which i actually didn't hate)

Yes. Try watching Boyz N the Hood as an 11 year old, with your 8 year old brother and Grandma.

TBS I should say.
Boyz in the Hood would be the last movie my grandmother would rent, for a variety of reasons.
One is that it doesn't include her crush, Mr Gene Hackman

I actually think I sat by myself one night in a crowded bar years ago (literally one of the first few nights in a new apartment) and got shitfaced watching "Vegas Vacation" with closed captioning and it was surprising decent, even with no sound. Is that the one where the dude's daughter is named "Cherry" or some shit and is a stripper or something?

In terms of general movie indiscretions and nudity, I have a pretty funny story.
I worked as an assistant manager in a $2 movie theater one summer (my friend was the manager) when I was in college.
Old people love the $2 theater and they love seeing movies that have Oscar buzz (in the middle of the day).
When we were showing American Beauty, about 20 of them walked out in unison within the first five minutes, completely aghast that Kevin Spacey had been pleasuring himself during the opening monologue.
They demanded their money back and we simply had to inform them we had no power over Kevin Spacey or his busy hands.

Yes. Try watching Boyz N the Hood as an 11 year old, with your 8 year old brother and Grandma.
Try being a 15 yr old kid sittin in a theatre against your will with your recently sperated MOM who BEGGED you to go to the movies with her cos she was lonely and depressed (Same effin theatre downashore come to think of it)----
AND WATCHING FATAL ATTRACTION!!!!
She turns to me when Michael Douglass is railin the tar outta Glenn Close in the sink and just whispers "Oh im so sorry hon" as Im sittin about half way out in the aisle, slouched down, lookin as far away from her direction as possible.
UGH.

My parents aren't overly religious but my father hates "Only the Good Die Young" (Billy Joel) and hated the "Like a Prayer" video by Madonna

Oh, let it be said, Ma was NEVER down with Pop and his wacky movement- a major divide in "The Marriage that Should Never have Been".
She was nuts in her own right, but at least she saw that whole crap for what it was, I gotta give her that.

Mrs. KB said "I guess you've always been a pervert" when I told her I liked girls in kindergarten. Of course, I was giving her the shocker at the time, so she may have been referring to that
