I'm not thrilled with either but I am at least satisfied that both are better than Bush. I am definitely happier with Obama than I was with Kerry in '04 and I like McCain better than all the other republicans who ran with the exception of Ron Paul.

So here we go - Obama Vs McCain. Should be an interesting, annoying and rage inducing few months. I can't remember a race in my life time where so many of both parties have been less than thrilled with their party's nominee.

Look for the 527 ads to tear down Obamination and deliver the Presidency to McCain.

McCain:
- Old and probably wouldn't make it out of his first term alive.
- Doesn't understand middle Eastern politics.
- Doesn't have any domestic plan, whatsoever.
- Very short, very elderly, and likely to have ass kicked by most nations leaders.
- Held a microphone upside down during a speech.
- Seriously, hasn't even consider a domestic plan of any kind.
- Is the mastermind behind cap and trade, universally hated by everyone.
- Just liberal enough to be hated by his own party and just right-wing enough to be frightening to the rest of the known world.

B. Hussein Obamination:
- Probably Muslim AND shares radical beliefs of his Christian minister.
- With less than 40 years in politics, he's under-qualified.
- Did somebody say Farrakhan?
- Loves fanboys, hates haters.
- Holy shit...Farrakhan!!!
- Hates America.
- Can't dance, bowled a 37, and smokes...he also may have trouble defeating foreign leaders in hand-to-hand combat.

- He's willing to meet with foreign leaders in an attempt to iron things diplomatically/appease terrorists.

My wife, not particularly religious, got an email from her Mary Kay lady, that was some garbled, rambling letter describing how Obama fits the Biblical description of the antichrist. We didn't save it, but I remember part of it said that the ac would be of Muslim descent. Apparently, the person writing the email forgot an important detail called "time."

Kerry, Gore and Dukakis all had a pretty united democratic party behind them at this point in the campaign. Obama has almost 1/2 the party against him although I obviously think that will change going forward. I agree that Obama has more people excited than the others you mentioned did - I was referring to the many people who are NOT excited - read "less than thrilled."

I'm voting for whomever goes on record as hating hippies more.
