Not to butt in, but some of these people have their own intentions in mind, (incorrectly) reasoning that the level of unrest in the ME is the last great sign that the final battle is approaching. This line of thinking may be prophetically based, in their eyes, but it's akin to making applesauce out of dirt.

There's A TON of stuff that has to happen before Armageddon, but a lot of people don't know that. instead, they'll rely on these nuts to tell them what they should think, and mindlessly troll along.

According to Scripture, Armageddon is where the final battle will take place, but aligning with Israel will not force the Second Coming to happen. Not to mention, it says in the Scriptures that the OPPOSITE will happen.

I don't profess to know EVERYTHING that's in Revelations (I'd be foolish to think that). But if you look at it, you can tell that what's supposed to happen isn't exactly what they're telling you.

it's easy to find links; as zak said, christian zionism is very real. falwell, robertson, delay, to name but a few prominent christian zionists. i think falwell had a pretty good influence on evangelical chrisitianity in this country, don't you?

not really any point in that. the thing has been translated and mistranslated so many times at this point that there is no way to know what was originally written or intended, which might be interesting to know purely from a historical standpoint.

The other thing to remember that not everyone who professes the gospel BELIEVES it. It's merely a vehicle for them to take advantage of the people who don't read up, who aren't serious.

Many verses in the Bible can be/have been distorted to suit the needs of the reader, and we're not even talking slavery; we're talking even simpler messages like Joel Osteen's.

i agree again, bass, which is why i don't know how it can be trusted. i'm sure we are all aware of the story that "maiden" was mistranlated (intenionally or not) to "virgin" regarding jc's mom, radically alternatining the history of world in the process.
