Yeah...full stop, or maybe talk about why its important and how he intends to help make it happen. Instead, he glosses over it saying "don't worry...it will happen", and launches into a diatribe about Americans "embarrassing" him when his Comrades visit from Europe.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Americans learning other languages and it's a great, great, great skill to have. Learning Spanish might be the most useless one to learn, however. It'll get you to the top of the list in a social services intrview. Sweet.

Going back to what he said about English/Spanish, I agree with people learning other languages would be a great idea. The problem is, he is wanting to force parents and the education system to teach Spanish to our kids for the SOLE reason of making more easy for immigrants from Mexico?
