Very true.
If I had to guess, most people would take this cover as a sign that even the elitist, liberal NY media has turned on the exposed flip-flopping half-muslim, B. Hussein.

Referencing Jackosn's comments, McLaughlin said Obama "fits the stereotype blacks once labeled as an Oreo — a black on the outside, a white on the inside."
"Does it frost Jackson, Jesse Jackson, that…an Oreo should be the beneficiary of the long civil rights struggle which Jesse Jackson spent his lifetime fighting for?" McLaughlin asked his panelists.
The term "Oreo" is often viewed as a derogatory term toward some African-Americans who appear not exhibit certain stereotypes of their race.

Not the end of the world, but I don't know if old white guys should be calling a black Presidential candidate an "oreo".

On that New Yorker Cover, Obama looks like Akbar and Jeff from the old Matt Groening books.

He was referencing a phrase used by blacks. It wasn't like he was running around the set calling Barry an Oreo.
Again, much ado about nothing but I'm sure the MSM will make a fuss about it and have a panel of 28902 people to discuss it on the shows tonight.

So as long as it's a phrase black people use, it's okay for old white guys to reference it? Got it.
Did you just move to this planet? I appreciate the naivety of your culture.
I mean seriously...what were the odds this wasn't going to make the headlines in the "MSM" the moment he blurted it out? Even the people on his panel refused to touch it immediately.
It isn't a huge deal, but certainly speaks to a general ignorance or outright stupidity.

We should require someone to earn at least 3 independent NTF's or NTFF's before allowing them to post in a politics or religion thread. To do otherwise has shown to be a disaster waiting to happen.

Agree completely Glenn.
People need to realize that the threads are meant to slander and poke fun at different groups of people, not to turn this into C-SPAN, only more boring

McCain went in front of a potentially hostile crowd and faced the questions.
Did he run scared?
In a lively appearance before the National Council of La Raza, one of the most important advocacy groups in the United States for Hispanic Americans, McCain rejected the organizers' attempts to cut off audience questioning of him, at one point tossing his microphone to a man so he could pose his query.
My political differences with McCain are substantive and there's a big divide on some major issues, but he doesn't blink at taking potentially tough questions from the people he intends to lead.
