Just out of curiosity for those who are Dem supporters, what did you think of Hillary's speech last night? I did watch it, and she said "vote for Obama", but never a real reason for it. To me it came off as all about her, and a little of "Well...vote for Obama, only because he's the Dem nominee, please..".
I did flip back and forth between FOX and MSNBC, and it was so funny how FAR off they were. Fox, mainly said, pretty good speech, did what she had too, but never gave reasons about the man himself Obama. Just that she doesn't want McCain to win. So I flip over to MSNBC and Keith Olberman is about in tears calling it one of the greatest speeches ever. He read the Republican response and cringed in pain, and quickly said "well no one serious is gonna pick that up".
It was pretty fucking funny

or in New Orleans.
I guess they don't support that either.
That was a failure of Federal, State, and Local government.
Also, the residents of Nawlins had a chance to evacuate themselves from the city.
A baby has no such chance to evacualte itself from the womb when the murderer comes a callin'.

While McCain's time in political arenas has to be taken into account, it's no surprise that there is confusion as to what MCain actually is- as is represented by the 70 or so flip-flops on important issues. I'm all for flexibility, but after 30 or so it reeks of "say anything"

Flesh, to me, someone who supports a woman's right to kill is not only a failure ethically, but morally and logically.

You have NO problem with the death penalty.
One of the more blatant hypocrisies of the Republican party...

ironic that people with your view would rather actual humans die than support embryonic stem research.

For embryonic stem research, they do it on fetuses that didn't make it or WERE aborted. They don't go kill them for the sake of the research.
That's like saying medical schools kill people so that they can use the cadavers for anatomy classes. It might, however, explain the strange noises in the builiding where we had anatomy lab though.

Well, if a baby has died naturally and the parents wish to use the baby's corpse for research that is fine with me.

If McCain is elected, Roe v Wade is on thin ice...believe that.
The guy is as pro life as anyone out there and will have the opportunitiy (more than likely) to replace at least 2 liberal leaning justices in the next 4 years (unless Stevens serves into his early 100's).
If you've got a supreme court willing to overturn it, a president willing to overturn it, and a democratic congress with a zero approval rating coming up in 2 years, I wouldn't just take RVW for granted.

I can't say that. There are tons of good/great people involved in organized religion, but it ALSO attracts 100% of the crazies.

Organized religion is a sham and a crutch for the weak minded who need strength in numbers.
Now I think you're painting organized religion with a bit too broad of a brush. It's not the organized religion itself that is bad, it's the attempt to push the religion into politics that causes problems.
People talking like NEAG isn't a problem. It's when they run for office on that platform and attempt to force their agenda on the rest of us that it becomes a problem.
Let me justify that by saying that organized religion is, at times, attempting to restrict the freedoms of people so that everyone conforms to their beliefs, whereas the "liberal" values typically conform to traditional American values like freedom, respect for others, and tolerance.

I don't. I cringe when I hear a politician is consulting with their "spiritual advisor".
