ok, two paragraphs in and i'll cop to being off the mark here on what i thought was a FB jab back, a story from some corner of america where whites did the same to a person of color.

this link however, is actually holding my interest.

i read some more- and agree with this guilty white liberal's essential point:

I give Fred credit for sticking it out here. Some of the crap I read is blatant race baiting, if not racist. Call me whatever the F you want NEAG, but I am NOT a guilty white liberal. I am an intelligent, white person who knows race baiting when he sees it. I do not believe Glenn or Seth are racists at all. I don't even believe you are, really. But on the interwebs, I believe NEAG has race-bating tendencies. And I believe Fred puts up with a great deal of crap specifically BECAUSE he doesn't just sit back and accept it as "humor." Or whatever.

I just went back through this thread, and I have to say, the post that bothers me the most was Glenn's statement that stories like the woman who pulled the "2 black men in a Caddy" are the stuff that I "live for".

Really Glenn- this is the honest truth- I never had a preoccupation with this subject when I was living in Pittsburgh. Yes, there were your occasional jackass bikers or your backwoods flunkies- but this type of stuff never came up on a regular basis as much as it has in this forum. And trust me, as a bartender/gambler/explorer of taverns- I met all kinds of people there. I have tons of people that know me there, and I know them. Both good and bad people. But I gotta tell ya, it is really disappointing, as I ALWAYS repped that I was from Philly, best city, most savvy people, best fans, etc. I still think it is, for many reasons. Plus you always stay hometown, no matter what.

But I NEVER encountered the steady stream of crap that happens here on a daily basis.


And it kills me to even say that.

I hardly post anymore so if it's happening on a daily basis look elsewhere.

Actually, F_B, in a weird way and one I may have a difficult time explaining, I think you sort of misinterpret the intent of some stuff out here. It's not (or at least I don't think it is) a direct intent to disparage The Black Man as a whole. Just the gangbangers and thugs that seem to have overtaken the pulse of life in Urbania.

Glenn, our "relationship" is well documented so your convenient excuse isn't cutting mustard.

Obviously I'm not singling you out either- it was just the sentiment that somehow I enjoy trying to defend the fact that color is only skin deep.

I wish it wasn't an issue here. But like I said before, I'm stubborn and I believe that letting shit slide isn't the best way. Obviously it's made me a target here, but I accepted that a long time ago. I'm tough and I can take it. It really does take a lot to get me to jump off the deep end- all I really try to do is point stuff out when it's clear to me- just the same as everyone else does here. That's what I am saying, F_B, in a way. I don't think anyone has any issue with you other than something you and they might disagree on. That is, nobody thinks anything negative about you because you are black. But you seem to think you need to defend the people/criminals discussed in this thread (I don't know if "defend them" is the right way to put that) just because you share a skin color with them.

You really do not understand statistics do you? Or him. White specialize in killing their parents, that's "white crime". Oh. Ok. Or is it that with 65 or so % of the Country's population being white you are far more likely to find a heinous crime like that amongst them than any other race?



And why is he mentioning fucking Bosnia as "White on White Crime" that does not get mentioned. Discussions of race in this Country do not extend beyond the borders.

however, i disagree that fb is a target out here as he seems to contend in his discussion with ggb, cos he's black.

he has taken some really bad sides in some clear cut discussions over the years cos the antogonists in the subject matter were black.

i respected fb a shiatload after he kept his cool 4 summers ago when dsly outed himself as a klan member with that tirade of insults aimed only at fb.
