For those here who are comic fans and might have met Mike at the Philly Wizard shows, you might know that he was fighting cancer for the last 8 years. He passed on Friday night.

Mike was a fantastic artist, a good friend, and a great guy. Many will miss him. 37 is just way too young to die.

Thats brutal.

Im glad to have had the chance to meet him (thanks to Mike).

He was a very nice guy, very modest and this is a huge loss.

He went to the Bucs NFC Championship Game and then the following season opener at the Linc. We always planned to get him back to another game that wasn't an embarrassing Birds loss.

Sorry to hear about this. I wasn't all that familiar with his work until I saw his Batman/Superman stuff a few years back. The guy was a hell of a penciler.

I respected him for not giving in to the anime influenced art that was so prevalent in his era. His style still stood apart.

It's always sad to lose a creative and an Eagles fan. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but it sounds like he was heck of a guy too.

He drew Batman better than all of them, including Lee.

He truly was amazing.


His specialty (IMO) was his take on the female form- they had a very stylized look , where you could immediately look at a cover and know it was a Turner drawn character.
