jason smith tore his ACL in some basketball camp in vegas. it looks like he will miss most if not all of the season. it's a shame, he supposedly showed great improvement in the summer league and looked like he had a chance to be a nice complimentary piece.

Definitely steep, but he's young and may improve enough to be worth it by the end of the deal. Wouldn't surprise me, he's definitely a talent. Guess he was right all along to turn down last year's offer.

Money aside, having Brand, Iggy, Thad, and Lou Will is a nice nucleus for the next 5 years. Seems like the kind of team Andre Miller would want to keep playing for.

with this deal, i'm more impressed with stefanaski than any other philly GM in a long, long time.

that said, that's a lot of cash for a number two player.

deal for iggy not yet complete, as it turns out. i think signing him is the right move, but still think the price tag was too high. he really must improve his offense to prevent this contract from becoming an albatross around the team's neck. i'm just not at all certain he has the talent to take that next step.

for better or worse, this is now officially your sixers team built to contend for a championship. except for resigning miller, there are no more significant moves that either can or will be made to this core.

I liked the Marshall signing - as you pointed out, if he's got anything left, signing him for the vet min is a steal.

Had 3.8 PPG and 2.9 RPG last year, playing 13.2 mins over 26 games. Yeesh. Can't go anywhere but up.

And that's better than some of the signings Billy King made. B-Skin?

marshall can spread the D a little and hit some three's. like the signing for what it is.

seems like the sixer's are doing a good job filling the cracks of the roster with vet. minimum guys.
