Anyone besides NEAG and I ever have a gay guy tell you "I'm in love with you"? (I'm assuming this has happened to NEAG, although he doesn't strike me as the civil unioning type.)

I was in high school, acting in plays with this organization of kids my age, and there was one kid whom I acted with whom everyone knew was gay. He was really effeminate, but he wasn't obnoxious and he was a nice kid. Bear in mind, he went to Catholic School, and this was in the early '90s before being gay was considered fashionable. Kids just didn't come out of the closet back then, but it was too damn obvious with him.

Anyway, he was in this circle of people that I occasionally hung out with. Essentially, they were a lot of closeted guys and the clueless, fawning faghags they hooked up with. We hung out a couple of times (you know, went to the movies, bought tapes at Wee Three Records in the mall-- basic high school shit), but we weren't really buddies or anything. Then, after our show closed, he asked me to leave the cast party because he had something he wanted to tell me. With tears in his eyes, he turned to me and said, "I have to tell you, Talon, I'm gay...and I'm in love with you."

(silence)

"Okay...well, I don't think this is going to work."

"Why not?"

"Oh, I don't know...maybe because you're gay and I'm not?"

I honestly felt bad for the kid, but I really couldn't help him out, as I had no desire to take one for the team. He knew I wasn't batting from his side of the plate, but I guess he was just looking for someone to accept him for who he was. As you might imagine, it was kind of awkward the next time I saw him.

ha..really? imagine that.

you know, in one incarnation of the buddha's life, he sacrificed himself to a hungry tigress with cubs. the least you could have done is snuggle with the young man.

- I watched every episode of the first two seasons of the OC

- I have zero problem admitting when a guy is good-looking

- I actually don't mind many of the sappy 80's love songs (Think: GTA Vice City soundtrack)

bracket the post you are responding to, and there wouldn't be no punt-blocking in this world.

Funny you should mention TO:

I obviously can't reveal the name, but a very well-known sportswriter was talking with me and a couple of my co-workers once and I mentioned that I was an Eagles fan (This was after the TO fallout).

After some talk about the season, he responded by saying that it is one of the worst-kept secrets in the NFL that TO is a closet homosexual. Not to mention he is clinically depressed and cycling steroids. Funny thing is, I told him about Eagle fans suspecting it because of the catsuits, the orange beetle, and general attention-whoring and he said that's not even the beginning of it.

I know it's not exactly breaking news around here, but I found it funny that someone else on a much larger scale would say this.

I believed he was a straight shooter in Eagles Green until he signed with the Cowboys.

Here's praying his bubble gets embalmed with Romo's HIV infected sperm.

Don't know why, but I thought that was just too nasty.

I liked Debbie Gibson and wised up thankfully. I have a confession about liking the Go-go's when I was 10. I shudder to think how that came to pass. Loved Vixen and didn't have the excuse of being 10 when I listened to them.

Never liked Wham or George M. Just never got into it. Did like Def Leppard...does that make me gay?

I never really thought TO was gay...just thought he was emotionally retarded. I guess he's not seen in the company of women often. A co-worker of mine couldn't stop raving about how "hot" she found him.....I hope I didn't ruin the dream by telling her he's gay.

I used cocoa butter on my face as a moisturizer. I finally admitted that Brad Pitt could be "hot" to other women a couple of years ago.

Use a leave-in conditioner in my hair. Umm....all I can think of.

Why is white wine a girlie thing? Cuz its sweeter? First, I thought the whole wine thing was kinda gay. Anyway, I thought it was ok if you drank it during summer months or on random hot days given global warming.

Still not much of a fan of it.

- I have no problem admitting when a guy is "hot".
- Hate wine (except for cooking purposes), but like theme martinis.
- I read the celeb-gossip stuff.
- I shop. Not just go out and buy a ahirt I need, I actually will go to 10 different stores and end up purchasing nothing.
- 1 word....Antiquing.
- I have waaaaay to many shoes. 15 pairs.
- Same thing for spices.
- I drink tea. My favorites are Rose Hip and Gren Tea w/ Toasted Rice.
- My flat is covered in framed art.

& FWIW, Debbie Gibson married the guy from the Circle Jerks (which shocked me).

Not me. Quite honestly, I'd probably find at least one old cassette tape if I looked through the garage... and when her songs come on the radio these days I fight myself not to at least hum along.

Shoes and belt must match

That wasn't a dad thing. The hottie receptionist at an old job told me that. My dad didn't really teach me very much. My male role models were older friends and Magnum PI.
