Ive caught old stuff too- like an Echo & The Bunnymen 2 part concert from like 83 that was fantastic

Like to have seen that one. One of my favorite bands from the 80s.

Bass- is that from when they were known as 'Wham UK"?

Probably - I mean, that album wasn't released stateside that I'm aware of (and with good reason). Even the album cover has a "Here Comes Ace And Gary" feel to it:

BTW, I did a Google search and had about 50 of those images on my screen. I think I need to crush a can on my head to reaffirm my masculinity.

And the link doesn't even work. Great. I tortured myself for nothing.

Find the album yourselves.

About the gayest in music I listen to would be the B-52s and Judas priest. However, I am a closet fan of the disco era (gotta love satellite radio). I still own albums (yes albums) from KC & the Sunshine Band, Bay City Rollers, and Gloria Gaynor. Long live roller skating rinks!!!

As far as TV/movies, never liked Golden Girls, Maude, soaps, etc. I did watch Fantasy Island and Love Boat though. And my favorite Angel was Kate Jackson.

Enough gayness for today.

B-52s? At least you could look at whats-her-name in the videos. Not exactly man-hugging, but whatever.

Nothing wrong with B-52s, I have a GH Collection of theirs in the backseat of my car as we speak, and just might pop it in on the way home.

They were never as good after Ricky Wilson died.

When did he die? I thought it all went south with the Love Shack album.

Right before the Love Shack album...

1982 I think. He was the guitarist who made Private Idaho and Rock Lobster so awesome.

Slap, I used to like Priest. But couldn't take listening to them after being turned on to Iron Maiden (whom I still love listening to even if its gay). Then a friend of mine who was a stage manager for Priest popped my naive bubble and informed me Rob Halford "liked little boys". That was the last shovel of dirt on the grave of Priest for me.

The whole Rob Halford thing defintely put a damper on being a fan. But seeing them in concert brought it all back, little boys or not, they kicked ass live.

I did not have an issue with the whole Love Shack album, but Cosmic Thing was almost unbearable. Anyway, the girls in college loved to cut loose and drink heavily listening to Love Shack. Ah, to be young and stupid again.

With a name like "Judas Priest" for a "gay band" it's either extreme irony or foreshadowing. Take your pick.
