Given the recent deluge of incestuous posts from alternate website promoters wishing to shovel their stink in our general direction (ranging from madden sites and football role-playing games to Taco Bill), I must ask, is there anything we can do about these losers?
I mean, in my business, we'd simply brand them as terrorists and invade their countries in the name of establishing democracy. However, I'm open to further suggestions.

Not a lot you can do on a public forum and absolutely nothing you can do if they are real people (to prevent it).
To prevent automated board spamming, you can require a login, watermark, or moderated new signups, but if it's just a person who wants to promote their site, all you can do is delete the post.

i actually think the spammers open up the door to some real "come-togetherness" among fellow levelers, as well as an opportunity to vent a lot of pent-up rage at an unsuspecting, yet deserving, victim.
i wouldn't trade them for the world.

You could always do like in Goodfellas and tell them they've "been made". The ceremony is at 8- wear a nice suit
