1). Of the thousands of "illegal enemy combatants" detained; how many were waterboarded?

2). Why has the special prosecutor appointed by Attorney General Eric Holder in August of 2009 not produced any indictments? With everything written in the press, you would think it was an open and shut case.

3). Why has the Obama Administration after declassifying 1,000's of memos and reports some even at the request and strong urging of former Bush Administration Cabinet Level Officials all the sudden pulled back the reigns and rhetoric recommendations for prosecutions on torture?

4). Why is a "rider" attached to the latest intelligence appropriations bill requiring the criminal prosecution of CIA Agents involved in the "torture" of the _ (_ is a hints its less than 10 were waterboarded) terrorist masterminds being shelved by the Democratic Committee Leadership?

Fills in gaps in reporting and corrects many of the misnomers found in the "mainstream" press. It may surprise you to find out the NYT does not always get the story right and for National Security Reasons the Government can not ask them to print a correction without evidence.

The Justice Department Memo I linked is spot on with the book. Can't say the same for any of the reporting in the Daily Coz..

I guess it does not matter that Holder, Obama's AG signed the Justice Department memo..

But if you're not an expert on a subject, shouldn't you interview experts before expressing an opinion? Instead, Thiessen relies solely on the opinions of the CIA interrogators who used torture and abuse and are thus most vulnerable to prosecution for war crimes. That makes his book less a serious discussion of interrogation policy than a literary defense of war criminals.
