'I did not want to end up a statistic, like Nicole Simpson,' the 52 year old said on the NBC Today show

Interesting point...what is that statistic? 1 in a billion? I'd take those odds.

For years there has been so much coming out about what a piece of shit Hogan is. I think he is just an all around bad guy.

I also think Linda Hogan is a piece of trash and she is out to make him look bad as much as she can.

Apparently the guy who was The Ultimate Warrior has ripped Hogan to shreds in a youtube video from earlier this month??

Munch, you and Bass prolly saw this already but I have to admit I found it interesting and believable despite "Warrior" sounding like a bitter old man. I think he is speaking from experience and knowing Hogan from the past.

I love listening to Warrior.

He is all kinds of crazy. Entertainingly crazy.

I think he is always honest. The only problem is that his honesty is sometimes not a true reflection of reality.

I was listening to the audio at work b/c I was curious and these guys have bad blood between them, and while Warrior does come across as bitter, it did seem like some of his criticisms were valid:

- Hogan banging his daughter's friend and more or less usurping her popularity
- Hogan not being a good father
- The "vitamins" were PEDs
- Hogan saying he talked to Savage right before he died, when Warrior says (and has proof that) he did no such thing
- The Hogans wrecking Savage's marriage with Elizabeth (and how Hogan passed Linda around like he was her pimp)
- Hogan looking like a joke with the doo-rag and extensions

I mean, it's an hour long and not something you should watch unless you have something else to do, but what he said is pretty much what everyone's known of Hogan for years.

And FTR, there were rumors floating around that Hogan's divorce was a ploy to keep half his money, since that kid that nearly died from the accident his son caused would've been able to sue him for everything (though he wouldn't have been able to touch the divorce amount).

I believe there is truth to what Linda Hogan and Warrior are saying.

What I don't get is the timing of all this.

I mean there can't be that much money in this. Hulk has never been as irrelevant as he is right now. He is broke, broken down and is the face of a third rate wrestling promotion that nobody cares about.

And flesh, truth in PW is stranger than fiction.

Right bass,

To me these seem like two desperate books that aren't gonna make much money and trash a man who the world really doesn't care about anymore.

Murdoch's lawyer has admitted they hacked the phones of a murdered schoolgirl's family members. Maybe I'm naive, but that's some pretty sick shit

I wasn't thonking in terms of Murdoch, NewsCorp, FoxNews et al. I was thinking about how desperate newspapers ahve become for readers. I'm wondering if this is the low water mark or only the tip of a very sleazy iceberg?

How about the fact that fox and friends said murdoch was the VICTIM of hackers and that hacking is a serious issue. Nothing surprising from that outfit.

I actually linked that article in the "hijack" thread a couple weeks ago, but this thread may be more appropriate.

My only problem with it is it's not based on much. The basic issue is they were noticing more kids with seemingly idealistic lives in therapy because they didn't feel happy.

Therapists, by nature, look at a problem and find a way to blame the parents.

Their explanation fits, but I think it could probably be as simple as people being more sensitive, self-aware, and open to therapy. I'm sure a lot of younger adults in the 50's had the shit kicked out of them on a regular basis as children and were depressed or otherwise not happy with their lives, but the difference is they didn't talk about it.

i just skimmed the article, but i do think it brings up some really interesting points. to be quite honest, the guy in the cartoon sounds a lot like me.

maybe it's because when you've had every advantage and all the support to "find yourself", you expect that you should be totally well-adjusted, focused and content. of course, nothing is ever that simple, and it's somewhat disconcerting to come to that realization.
