he blew through probably close to 200 million dollars, including endorsements, and is now flat broke at 36. that's a fucking disgrace, i don't care how much he thought he owed his entourage.

OTOH, he and assholes like him are actually the poster children for why trickle-down economics work. just look what he put back into the economy!

did anyone try to convince him to think long term?

Apparently not.

Look ma, I'm on top of the world.

He's certainly not the first and won't be the last.

I'm sure he can still make money.

If he was a washed up famous baseball player he could sell his autograph ala Pete Rose.

He could sign a few basketballs to some suckers at some sports conventions.

In the end though it's just another sad story.

Will he end up in the NBA Hall of Fame? I'd say 50/50 chance of that.

Well he sold out "the whatever the fuck is called now" so he did line some pockets.

And not just in Philly but other cities.

Lets also not forget jewelers row.

Maybe his posse bought tons of coke and banged a few bitches along the way.

And he has his memories. 200 million should buy a shit load.

His ole lady pocketed a few bucks as well.

All is not lost.

Jeremy Lin is a cold blooded beast. Why does the best story in sports have to play for the Knicks?

just wait until melo gets back into the "groove" and doesn't pass teh ball back, or if Lin shoots it 25 times again like against Minny and Melo kills him

8 turnovers last night so maybe that's a good sign.

I wish the Sixers had someone who would pop him in the mouth when he drives the lane.

Be nice to have a psycho like Matt Geiger for just that purpose.

yeah, we'll see what happens when melo gets back. the 8-25 against minny might have been an aberration; he was playing a ton of minutes in a back-to-back. the TOs are promising, i guess.

tonight's a good reason why defensive stats in the nba don't mean much. jrue played like shit, but it will probably look like he didn't. his offense has regressed in his 3rd year, too.

they have to let et go. there is no reason to hold onto him right now if this is how he'll be used

The funny part about this whole Jeremy Lin thing is that Knicks fans can't even see him play on TV. Cablevision and Time Warner are in an ugly battle and the latter doesn't carry the MSG Network.

Jeremy Lin = Kevin Maas

I don't think he's the next Kurt Warner or Mike Piazza, but I also don't think he'll be out of the league in two years.

Hopefully the 2012 Sixers /= the 2010 San Diego Padres.

can't remember where i read it (cnnsi?) but they did a great breakdown on lin's game yesterday. showed that while he is absolutely shooting over his head and has some TO issues, his ability to penetrate, distribute and defend are no mirage and there is no reason he won't continue to be a really good player.

I think it's time to get Lavoy out of the starting lineup, maybe give some more minutes to Battie, or let Thad play 4 and rotate Brand and Vuc at center.
