Someone at ESPN definitely lost their job today.
I am hoping to science that Lin does not decide to go on a tour of cheesesteak places once he plays a game in Philly.

John Blubberwood beating the drum to trade Turner.
Shockingly, he doesn't say who would want him at this point, or what they could get in return. Just give up and trade him.
Typical depth you expect from a Fatwood article.
Yo, click it

Stan Hochman, long-time writer for the Philadelphia Daily News, says that there’s a reason for Turner’s troubles. “There’s an explanation for Turner’s inconsistent play. One of these days, the team, with Turner’s permission, will reveal it. And then the criticism will back off,” he said during an interview with 94WIP’s Angelo Cataldi and The Morning Team on Wednesday.
Hochman indicated that the information was given to him with the knowledge that he would not reveal exactly what the problem is. He said that at some point this season, he believes it will be made public.

76ers -7 tonight.
Boston back to back OT games with older legs.
One would think this is lock for the Sixers to cover but I smell a rat.
The Sixers stink and the Celtics are on the upswing.
I'll bet a sawbuck and take the +7.

So did you place that bet, section?
No Smallwood article this morning. Maybe tomorrow he'll say they should trade him while his value is high.
Nice to see him attack the rim with confidence. With his size and handle there's no reason he can't be shooting 6 - 8 free throws a game.

Yup. Turner fkd me. If he throws in 2 points like he did against the Bucs I might get a cover. Then again the Celtics looked dead.
Turner actually played well in January. His last 15 games prior to last night were not what you want from the 2nd pick in the draft.

43 minutes tonight for ET and he gets 16/12/6.. Strange for DC to give anyone that much, let alone a guy whos started only 3 games. He goes from having no faith to giving him superstar mins. Quite a turnaround.

DC says ET is a Point Guard
The GM says he isn't, and that Jrue is the point guard.
Something has to give and I think that after the sixers lost a bunch, DC figured why not toss in ET and let him get his mins...
Figures he has to figure out who can play point, who can play with whom, etc.
I have the feeling someone is goin to be expendable next year between the 2, just sayin'...

Is Jodie Meeks a good defender?
I never get to see the beginning of games, and by the time I can tune in during the end of the 4th quarter, he's usually on the bench or is inserted to shoot off-the-mark 3-point attempts.
I'm just trying to understand why he was a starter for so long when he hasn't been shooting well this season. I understand that being a "starter" doesn't mean much in Doug Collins' world, but I don't get what value Meeks has to this team, especially when his shooting has been weak.

and hopefully they continue that, but it's one game. I do thjink they can keep them all, though. Jrue looks more like a SG now anyway, so let ET play point.
Meeks is not a good defender, and was a starter bc DC's patience for ET was ridiculously thin

Meeks could spread the floor. That was DC's go-to response when asked why he was a starter. I also think he liked having size come in off the bench. Thad would usually sub in for Brand, so ETs rebounding help was needed with the second unit, which is much less physical than the starters.
The team was 20-9, so at that point why would you switch things up? Meeks was shooting pretty well to start the year, too.
He's not a good man defender. He's an OK team defender. He only played 8 mins last night. Lavoy played just one.
Hawes is coming back Wednesday, or so they say.

those 3 also didn't play well together last year, so that's another element to this.
idk what they should or will do, bc if they can all play together, holy shit. they're not winning anything anytime soon, and what they'd get back in a trade for them won't equal what their value to the team could be, so I hope DC is more patient now and lets it happen
