I don't even know what their options are, to be honest. I just think he has to pay some kind of price. Not life in prison, but something.

The pressure on the DA and the State is high in this one. He MAY pay a higher price than manslaughter.

Not trying to be a smart ass. Honest questions.
FD - I have not heard that Trayvon was "running away" or that Zimmerman was "chasing/running after him." Am I missing something? I heard Zim was following him in spite of the 911 operator request. I heard the initial 911 call ad nauseum.
KB - By saying the DA will not try hard to win this case, I am confused as too why. Racism? Politically unmotivated? Does not want the Stand Your Ground law to look bad?

Yeah, that was all part of the initial call. If you listen to the entire thing, Zimmerman articulates all those facts. He's giving a description of Trayvon to the 911 operator, giving them a blow by blow of what's happening, he says Trayvon starts walking toward him, then he says he the kid started running and he began chasing him.
The story Zimmerman gave (which may or may not be accurate) is Trayvon circled back after getting away and confronted him about why Zimmerman was following him. Zimmerman said Trayvon asked something like "what's your problem?". Zimmerman responded "nothing" and Trayvon said something like "Well, you've got one now" before attacking him out of the blue.
The whole stalking incident, Trayvon running away, and Zimmerman chasing him is all material fact, though. No one is disputing any of that and it's all on the audio, coming directly out of Zimmerman's mouth.

I suggest you do a little more research when you're not busy being Romney's campaign manager.

there is no report of zimmerman chasing martin, aka running after him. the "they always get away" comment was during the talk about why he was "interested" in martin. there was no chase, as f-d said last night

I always say i call em like i see em, and proof is here:
IMO KB has won arguments with FD in 2 forums- the Peters/Nosebleeds thing and this one here
Just sayin.
We all feel big Z the D-Bag deserves to do time, but its not as cut and dry as media is portraying or more accurately, there was NOTHING i heard or read to suggest he was running after him. And ive been kinda all over this.
he is still wrong for disobeying the orders when he called 911, but he didnt run after him by any evidence ive seen/heard.

No, that's not accurate. You can listen to the whole thing including when he started chasing him in the 911 call. click here

Oh, come on!
There's actual audio evidence of at least some chasing in this case and the Peters thing is a whole different story. I think it's shitty and KB doesn't, but we both agree they have the right to do it. It sounds like the Ravens won't be going down that road with Suggs, fwiw. I think that's the right way to play it. Yo, click it

A poll I saw has 40% of the public thinking it was self defense vs 24% saying it was murder. This case is over. Prosecution would need something like 75-90% thinking he was guilty going in for them to overcome how much the actual evidence cuts against their case.
And if you figure nearly 100% of black people think he is guilty, that 24% number is even less impressive. Basically, all the defense will have to do is ensure they get a couple of white or hispanic jurors and they are golden. Males would be preferable as they are less subject to intimidation.
