Congrats to Andrews, Lito, and Dawk...all 3 deserve it.
Westbrook got jobbed and should be added by the coach immediately when they get their picks.
Roy Williams...what a fraud.

I can ALMOST understand Hall because he's created some attention and has the numbers to make a case, but Woodson should have gone ahead of him.
With Roy Williams, I'm just mystified.

Roy should be there all day. He may not be the best at coverage but the man can hit. I think Newman should be there also.

Replace "at coverage" with "defense" and "hit" with "dunk", and you're describing Vince Carter to a T.

So the worst coverage safety in the NFL should make the Pro Bowl every year in a league that throws 60% of the time?
Explain that one to me...guy's a joke. LB playing safety who makes the Pro Bowl because Cowboys fans are stupid hicks. If I was a Boys fan, I'd be sending letters to Jones begging him to trade The Pillsbury Slowboy so my favorite team could improve on defense.
Who would Newman replace, SNB? He's got the worst numbers of his own less-than-stellar career?

Lito is a bit of a surprise, no?
Don't get me wrong. I think he's had a very good year after a really rough start due to injuries, but was he being talked about as a Pro Bowler this year?

Who else would've been a better corner to send to Hawaii?
Corners overall haven't exactly been stellar this year, and there hasn't been a high-profile corner since Deion in his prime.
I think Lito carried himself on rep and a couple of big plays this year. He's played better than at the beginning of the season, but overall, play at that position has been off this year, no?

I think it wasn't a surprise that he made it and it wouldn't have been shocking if he didn't.
He was second in the league with 5 picks, 3rd or 4th in passes defensed, led the league in return yardage on returns, had a forced fumble....really turned in a stellar season after a bad start, but he had a couple high profile picks that helped him edge some others out.
I'm sure that's what got Ronde in, too. The guy pretty much put up all his numbers in one game against his bitch (McNabb).

I'm not disputing the selection. I'm just saying I don't recall reading much in the way of pre-selection hype on Lito.

Lito's return against Dallas sealed it for him.
Westbrook better be going.
I'm kind of shocked at Romo. What has he played - 6 games?

What?!? No Michael Vick?!?
Who's going to provide all the "big wows" in the least watched "football game" of the year now?
I guess it's an honor to be selected as being a fan favorite player, but the pro bowl is a joke and if I was a coach I would have no worries about whether or not a player on my team got jobbed in the selection process.

Yeah, Romo is a surprise. But I guess heavy voting occured during his hot streak, and there is no denying that he turned his team around in a big way before coming up kinda empty in the last two starts.

As far as I know, the top three QBs for each team are also the top 3 in QB rating in their respective conferences, if you exclude McNabb in the NFC.

Exactly...
There are only 5 Qbs in the NFC with a QB rating over 80. One of those 5 is McNabb (95.5) and another is Brunell (86.5).
Romo is a little questionable given a few things (for one, he's only thrown more TDs than INTs in 3 games), but given the state of NFC QBing this season, he definitely deserves it. The guys on the list would be Jake Delhomne and Eli Manning...ouch.

Westbrook is the man and what makes the Eagles offense go more than any other player, but you can't really argue with t he three they selected.

I think you could make a case for Westbrook over Barber. Barber has 20 more total yards and Westbrook has 9 more TDs, better yards per carry, and better yards per catch.
Even Gore, who is having a spectacular season, only has 150 more total yards than Westbrook, but Westbrook has 4 more TDs and Gore has fumbled 7 times (lost 6).
You can easily make a case for any of those 4 in the NFC, but I think Westbrook should be in there over Tiki.

Apparently SI.COMS Don Banks agrees Westbrook should be there -
2.Brian Westbrook, Philadelphia, running back -- Where would the resurgent Eagles be without Westbrook, their multi-purpose man who has rushed for 1,092 yards, caught 74 passes for 664 yards and produced 86 first downs, just eight fewer than LaDainian Tomlinson?
Westbrook has helped carry the Philly offense during Donovan McNabb's absence, and his 11 combined touchdowns, 5.1-yard average rush and 16 gains of at least 20 yards don't tell the whole story. In the NFC, Frank Gore and Tiki Barber belong in Hawaii, but so does Westbrook.
