Figured we'd keep track of the coaching changes in the league, since Green was put out to pasture in Arizona and Jim Mora took an L in Atlanta.

Not sure what Romeo's future in Cleveland holds, but if they fire him after two years, it'll be embarrassing for an already embarrassed franchise, considering injuries and the fact that they just don't have the horses.

Who else will take an L?

Shell probably, but they have the NFL's version of Dick Clark/Bernie Lomax calling the shots, so who knows?

Shell's an interesting case, in that he was the only one who wanted to take the job. Since the team is still pretty bad (if not worse than they were before), not even the #1 pick would make that team appealing to someone, and even if Shell did get fired, who's out there with enough cred to go there?

Saban, OTOH, what's his future like? Does he stay in Miami or go to Alabama? Coaching contracts are about as solid as the players' contracts in this league.

Cowher Gibbs and Parcells are possible candidates to leave on their own terms.

Coughlin seems likely but I don't want to jinx anything.

Talk down here in FLA is that Saban is goin to Bama (he'd be a fool to turn down that kind of dough).

I think Saban bounces. 40-50 million deal in college is insane. Not to mention he will have alot more autonomy in college, better ability to recruit and looking at the success of Pete Carroll might persuade him to dump Joeeeeey and the Fins for the chance to be a icon that can resurrect another college program out of the dregs.

Nick Saban's a dickhead. You can tell he gets frustrated with the media for just existing, probably because they've exposed (again) his desires to jump ship from his current job.

But as far as other people in the NFL who need to be fired, I can't think of any. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go put a down payment on my 2007 Ford Millen.

I'm not one to go on some rant about what people get paid and the fairness of it all, but just checked out a list of how the states rank on public teachers getting paid.

Alabama - 47th.

Well, they have their priorities straight. $40 million+ for a football coach and their cops/teachers get paid minimum wage.

No wonder the south is full of filthy retards.

Football is religion down there. They think of it as paying for another pastor.

In my personal experience, I have found University of Alabama football fans to be the most passionately obsessive fan group on the face of the earth.

...and with the second pick in the Draft, the Detroit Lions select Dwayne Jarret, WR from University of Southern California...

I wouldn't be suprised.

Ah, but how loyal or knowledgeable are they?

I didn't think so.

Millen will be back in Detroit and the Lions will NOT be taking Jarrett. At this EARLY juncture, I would say the most likely candidates at #2 are Joe Thomas, Quinn, Brian Brohm, Adrian Peterson (if they get scared of KJ's injury) or maybe the flavor of the week on the defensive side of the ball by the time the draft rolls around. If he's the real deal, I'd probably like to see them address the O-line.

The Giants demoted their O.C. Hufnagel on December 26th to let the QB coach call the offense. Today Hufnagel has left the team entirely.

I can't decide if that helps the Eagles or not, but I'm leaving strongly toward not really caring.

Millen's job safe with the Lions

Someone please tell me this was secretly leaked by The Onion and ESPN has been duped. What other job could someone perform like he has and still be employed? I mean, besides President of the United States.

In other news, Whitehall High School announced today that Millen's position on the Zephyrs Wall of Fame is secure . . . for now.

"I'll never quit"?

This is what's wrong with sports, in that the fans still line up for Detroit Loins "football", even though incompetance has been the rule for the past few years.

How anyone can still be a fan of that franchise is beyond me. He's the Bizarro Reid.

Yeah, but the Phils are lovable losers. Like that puppy that keeps banging its head into a wall, tries going around the couch and still ends up banging its head.

There's no rhyme or reason as to why Millen still has a job.

I can't seriously contribute to this thread until the first two white coaches are hired and Birdroppings posts his annual rant about how there are not enough black head coaches in the NFL.
