why does Detmer have to be emergency quaterback in order to be holder anyway?
They released a roster spot with Bruce Perry and the current holder, Johnson, isn't emergency quaterback?
I'd rather have Feeley as the backup to Garcia than Detmer.

basically, the year he was most accurate, was a year in which most of his field goals were under 39 yards. He had a ton more opportunities from 39 and below than he did in 2004
Maybe I'm just grasping at straws...who knows.
One thing I'm sure of is he's been erratic and dissapointing this season. I think a few of us had mentioned that we expexcted him to miss that one attempt in the last Giants game and I can never remember feeling that way before.
Making 78% of your field goals is unacceptable in the NFL and coming off a year in which he hit only 72%, I'm a little concerned. I know he was hurt last year, but it's not like he bounced back and filled me with confidence this season.
Time will tell, I suppose...I'm hoping this Koy thing gives him a boost.

Also...just a random stat. Opponents hits field goals on a 93% clip against the Birds this season (26-28). They missed one from 40-49 and one shot out of three over 50 yards.
I don't know what the league average is, but I'm betting the Eagles didn't catch a lot of breaks in that category this year...specifically the 63 yarder in Tampa.

Speaking of "Neckbeard", did anyone notice the phrase turned up in the Inky? I've never heard or seen it outside of the Level. I stole it and used it on Gargano & Martarano's show a few times, and now it turns up in print.
Combine that with Rich H's column about 5's whiny family and a few other recent stories .............
...............and I think we have a mole.

It's pretty brutal actually.
We should launch a campaign, via call ins to DN Live when the offending columnists are on, asking why they read 700level.com and copy the ideas.
Kinda like a Bababooey type deal.
