It's nice that the Eagles have WR's big enough to actually make blocks now.

I don't like the FG here.
Bad memories of a few years ago, late season game.

Is this a good idea to kick it this early, even with the rain coming down like it is on a bad field?

They're taking the clock down further. Either a FG or OT.

OK. Now I guess I feel better? At least it's all on Akers/Detmer/Magician man. Who called that in the prediction thread? At least Akers has been kicking more confidently this game?

I'm gonna quote myself from earlier in this thread:
"Don't forget Westbrook ended up with 87 first half rushing yards.
I'm predicting about 145 for the game"
final total - 141
/shameless self promotion

Quick good/bad/ugly.
Good: The win, of course. #s 66 and 76 on the Giants offensive line, thanks for the help fellas. Reggie Brown, made several nice first down catches that kept drives going and was quick enough to turn the corner on that end around.
I shouldn't go any further without mentioning Westbrook. Great game, great yard per carry average, excellent shifty running on the long TD and good hands out of the backfield.
Neckbeard for helping Akers rediscover the magic.
Gaither and Cole on D, and Patterson gets some props too.
Since he's retiring and seems to be a good guy, I guess Tiki gets love for a game effort in a losing cause.
The Bad: The defense looked porous again, especially against the run . . . and Lito getting hurt.
Fox trying to trump up the QB controversy angle, reporting that Jeffy and Donnie were playing tug of war over the formation/coverage photos on the sideline during the 1st quarter (last I heard, the backup/inactive QB helps "coach" the starter . . . but knowing McNabb he probably switched the copies with gay porn just to get Garcia off his game and protect his job).
The Ugly: About 3 Garcia passes that easily could have been picked, though aside from those balls he managed the game well and mixed in some really nice throws and played largely mistake free football.
That the Giants still could have won the game in the 4th quarter -- despite all the penalties, bad referring in this game btw, injuries, bad QB play by Eli, etc. -- does not speak very highly of the Birds. They'll have to be a lot better next week in New Orleans if this improbable streak is to continue.
