My good/bad/ugly...
Good:
Westbrook. The defense during the first quarter, not allowing another Giants score after giving up the opening series. Bucky, Brown, some good blocks by other receivers. The win.
Bad:
The defense in the second half looked like the fourth quarter and OT defense of the loss to the Giants. I don't know what it is, maybe it's just because it's Tiki/Shockey/Plexico and the scheme was showing weakness. It was wet, too. The defense will regroup -- minus Lito.
Ugly:
Eli Manning, Lito going down. The game in general.

PE.com is calling it a dislocated elbow, and based on what someone posted earlier on the standard medical treatment I would think he's out for at least next week.

I have actually dislocated my elbow in a football game before. Lito is probably done for the year. If he can come back at all, this season, then its miracle.

my spidey sense wonders if ihateeli is a newb or one of the apparently multiple alter egos of a certain leveler who is sometimes the object of ridicule by certain other level vets?

Hopefully Rod Hood can pick it up. Like I said earlier, I don't think there is anyway Lito plays again this season.

Anybody watching Comcast right now?
They just showed the clown who was practically crying after the Carolina NFCCC loss (AKA the guy who screamed 'We Shoulda Won!!!) and he's, well, quite the opposite as that night.
Had a nice-looking broad on his arm, as well.

last I heard, the backup/inactive QB helps "coach" the starter - Exactly. I would have pissed if I heard that 5 *wasn't* helping out.

If that's true, then he's done for the playoffs. That bodes very poorly and the likelihood of serious ligamentous injury is high.
That truly sucks.

If anyone has the game recorded, watch the Giant's linebacker punch the RB between the shoulder blades on the Runyan penalty.

LV, I actually caught that watching the game in real time. It was cheap, but what do you expect from the Vagiants.

wasn't taking any shots at you ihateeli, just wondering who you were b/c there is a certain periodic visitor/past member of the boards who is basically persona non grata to many of the vets here (and just to be clear, I don't claim level vet status). this individual has a habit of registering under many assumed names so as to be undetected when he visits the level.
that's all.

The Good
The win.
Westbrook running behind the right side of the offensive line.
Throwing short passes to the right-hand side of the field. Gotta take what they give you.
Reggie Brown not dropping any passes and converting some much needed first downs. Nobody dropped a pass for that matter, I don't think.
The defense for coming up with three huge stops in the first quarter to keep it a one possession game.
DAVID AKERS.
Special teams coverage was very solid.
The Bad
Hardly any pressure from the front four. Blitz wasn't doing too great, either.
Speaking of the blitz, that play on 2nd and 30 was very reminiscent of the play against the Gints in the first game to Plaxico that scored the game-winning TD. Eli throwing off the back foot to a spot with Plax vs. man coverage. You can't give up a first down on 2nd and 30 with the game on the line. No need to blitz there.
Run D was shaky at times.
Lito being hurt.
The Ugly
The offense in the first quarter.
Runyan pulling two bone-head moves in a matter of seconds that could have and should have really cost the Eagles. Lucky he wasn't ejected, as the right side of the O-line is the Eagles strongest part of their team right now. Gotta calm down a little bit.
The refs were making some bad calls both ways, but I think it evened out.
Gotta play better in NO to advance, that's for sure.

I thought the refs calls a pretty brutal game.
On a related note, it seems like the Eagles never get pass interference or roughing calls. Has anyone else noticed that?

That one kickoff looked like it was going to go out of bounds and he then muffs it and goes backwards.
He stinks.

I didn't think that was definitely going out of bounds because it was losing steam and the Giants player was about 10-15 yards away sprinting down the sidelines. It was too risky not to pick that up.
