OK FINE!

Here's a bottle of Whiskey and 450 beads.

Remove the curse and gloat behind our collective backs, what a steal you just got.

NTF!

Seriously, if you can ever can into a Monopoly cash game with an Amrican Indian, pour some firewater over ice and watch your stack grow.

Anybody planning on heading down to the Big Easy for the game?

Got a member of the media interested in hooking up down there and doing an interview. You can e-mail me through the Contact Us form if you are interested.

Let's not forget that the Saints have a curse too. Some voodoo curse placed on the stadium, if I remember correctly.

As far as the game goes, I see the Eagles getting their yards. Hollis Thomas will have a good/great game, but the Eagles can overcome that. Stallworth, Regie Brown, Smith, Greg Lewis, all getting their plays. Garcia doing his roll outs to buy time. Maybe he even scrambles for some first downs. Westbrook of course in a variety of ways, but Payton will be keying on him. It would be fitting to see some reverses. I can see Tapeh getting a touch down pass in the red zone, (that used to be a regular event with the previous fullback).

On defense, if New Orleans scores on the opening drive, I don't see it as fatal. Johnson has already said that they script the first fifteen plays and it could be a game of cat and mouse. Johnson doesn't necessarily play his hand during those plays which means New Orleans can get the upper hand (it's a gamble). I can picture Rod Hood doing better than most expect. I also can picture that the New Orleans running game works with another bend don't break philosophy. The key will be stops in the red-zone. This game reminds me of when the Eagles played the Rams in the playoffs many years ago. (The Eagles lost that game when Buckhalter got hurt). If New Orleans does the quick pass again, the key will be efficient wrap-around tackling and ball stripping. Hopefully, the pass rushers can get their hands up and tip some balls.

I hope the Eagle defense is ready for some screens. Recalling the Eagles Super Bowl where the Patriots couldn't do much until they started working the screen pass.

This game is going to be an exciting nail-biter for Eagles fans, but an Eagles clutch upset seems probable. I think this could be a case where Saints rest equals rust, and Eagles underdog status equals play with focus.

You echoed an earlier thought by me this wk but bears mentioning again and I think is VERY big- ROD HOOD is goin to be in the spotlight, and being a F.A this offseason and IMO clearly capable of starting for MANY, MANY other teams (offah what he's shown me here in his time)- He will absolutely be UP for this unforseen opportunity and I THINK HE WILL EXCEL!

(Cue the whiners next yr when Philly doesn't match Oakland's outrageous offer to Hood- but that's another thread for about 3 months from now).

Hood will/sure has the chance to be HUGE.

Nice post Ox.
