I guess you have to have the 3rd page to look at instead...or is it surfing Eagles stuff in general that is bad for your work mojo?

Eagles weather the 1st initial storm of atmosphere and offensive firepower from Saints and go toe to toe with em in an offensive slugfest in which 1 BIG defensive play/stand will turn the tide.
Fans everywhere in green will be on edge of the couches/bar stools headin into the final 10 minutes...tense....
And breate a collective sigh of relief, and reach for a double and a tall draft immediately after.

What position do you play, Broad St?
Were you on the field during the field goal to win it last week? If so, good job.

A side note, if you weel.
Everyone's probably on top of this, but being the dullard I am, I didn't notice that Jeffie's significant other was on WWE as a 2004 Diva Search finalist. Of course, the other girls didn't have very kind words to say about her (from wrestlecrap.com):
Joy started the festivities, by joking around with Amy and Christy. All was fun. Then she came to Carmella (who ALL the girls despised), and came unglued, claiming that she was a whore who, and I'm just quoting here, "had a gap so wide you could drive a truck through it."
Next up, Amy. She told Joy that she needed to learn how to lick a pie, and that Christy needed to calm down. Hey, I'd agree with that. Then she got to Carmella, whom Amy addressed as a whore. Okey dokey. She (Amy) also explained to Carmy that "having a cock in your m**** (don't ask me why they censored the word MOUTH but felt COCK was ok) has nothing to do with wrestling."
........
No, I'd rather save my words for Christy, whom Carmella actually said she hoped would win. Christy wasn't quite as kind, calling Carmella one of the following(and I couldn't tell because the first word was bleeped): a "cock sucking gutter slut" or a "c*** sucking gutter slut" or a "cum sucking gutter slut."
The WWE did want Carmella to win, though, and was pushing for her all the way. Just found it (somewhat) noteworthy.
Threadjack over.

After a rough start in the first quarter, the Birds open Q2 down 10-0, but make it a game with a 50+ yard run by the Wizard.
Defense tightens up, as does Reggie Bush’s hamstring. Jeff “Greasy G” Garcia throws 3 TD’s, no picks and the team takes good care of the ball
Toss in 2 field goals by Akers

Talon, I'd say he was talkin bout the Level game up at Lehigh, but that wasn't really good football, so I am left to assume he suited up last wk.

Seth, be honest. The Lehigh game did feature one shutdown corner/pro bowl wide receiver Champ Bailey/Chad Johnson hybrid player.
It's not our fault that the rest of us were not in his league.

Talon, you are too kind. Really. But thanks anyway.
There was at least one NFL caliber play that I can think of, actually, I don't remember much of the play at all.

You gotta love Westbrook's speed on that turf in the dome. And Stallworth and Howard - playing their former team down there.

Heard the Nah-leans play by play guy on some sports radio show today.
Said the Eagles have no shot b/c the Saints have been masters all year on calling plays and confusing teams (praising Payton) and that with an extra week to get ready for them, the Eagles will be thoroughly confused.

For some reason, I just can't imagine Merrill Reese ever talking smack like that about another team - especially before a big playoff game.

I think alot of the people giving the Saints the win fail to realize they went 10-6 this year(same as the Birds) without losing their starting QB. Also went 4-2 in their division that had no other winning team... in other words they haven't been exactly dominant.

I predict the Eagles defense steps up enough to make this game harder for the Saints than last time, and that the Garcia offense doesn't fall off much as compared to McNabb. If Saints get the ball first, instead of a touchdown, they get a field goal. Furthermore, the Saints have a turnover before the half that has them playing from behind the second half.
Eagles 30
Saints 20
The Saints are overconfident from playing an easier team and the Eagles have a point to prove. The Eagles find out that playing in a dome is easier, especially for Akers.
After the game, the entire football press will anoint the Eagles as the NFC Superbowl favorite.

I think it safe to predict that while over at the In-Laws, enjoying the company, feast and 52' HD Plasma TV, I will scare both the family Golden Retrievers (again) into hiding, Scorch a trail from my seat on the couch up to the TV as I yell all sortsa stuff ( half the time unintelligable ) and generally supply laughs and frightened looks for Chicklet's family --- again.
oh, and I predict that I offically hate Saints fans for the rest of my life.
Tired of this Feel Good Crap.
Whats a little rain? Shut the F up and stop leaning on your feel good story as THE reason why Your Saints (of all of 2 seasons you front runnin' sob's) MUST win.
THE NFL DOES NOT FEAR A BACKLASH SHOULD THE IDIOTS AND GATORBAIT FROM THE BAYOU'S TEAM LOSE!
CLUE: Instead of dumpin 185 million into refurbishing a stadium, methinks that coulda been used a tad better helpin those crawdads who are still homeless- the same folks you're all claiming as feelin better after each Saints victory- while they in all actuality NEVER ONCE FIGURED INTO THE SAINTS SEASON TICKET BASE IN THE FIRST PLACE! SHOVE IT NEXT TIME I HEAR HOW MUCH THE SAINTS MEAN TO THE AREA! Tell That to the old man who lost his whole family, eats Fancy Feast and has a house full of mold.
Its such a sham, this whole thing, (the overwhelming feeling, almost blackmail attitude - if the Commish actually read a dopey message board- the Saints fans have towards losing this game tomorrow- its like, they wont, if the NFL knows whats good for em? )
F them. Summon a flood and another platoon of Gators.
I hope Philly goes in there and smashes em in the rotten mouff.

Well said Seth. I have been saying that for months. Also, let's not forget that Benson wanted to move this team to San Antonio before Katrina and now is probably disappointed that they have to stick around for a couple more years before he moves them. Either way, the Saints will be gone by 2010, probably to Los Angeles if they ever build a new stadium.

"Yeah, and WHY did the BUSINESS MAN Benson wanna move?"
Also no economic base, even before Katrina. Tourism doesn't support a football team. I read that NO is the only NFL city without a Fortune 500 company headquartered in the market. Keep in mind, Green effing Bay has an NFL team.

While there has been a lot of pre-game talk over Lito's absense, and Bush's improvements over the second half, a few things have been missed in the chatter:
a) The hit factor. The Eagle's defense (particularly against the pass) has much improved. Bush, et al, will face some real tough hits on that hard turf from the likes of Gaither, Dawkins, Trotter, Hood, et al. The Saints recievers, instead of being these huge 'assets', may just end up being a huge liability by coughing up the ball after being greeted so unceremoniously.
b) Eagles D can stop the run. It can do it consistently, and it can do it at key moments in the game. They will come up big.
c) Garcia can control the clock, thus shortening the game for Brees. This might just force Brees out of the dink-and-dunk and make him commit more passes down the field. (I smell the blood with INTs.)
d) Akers is a distinct advantage indoors. That's why I pick them for a two field goal differential.
e) The O line is in-synch and steam-rolling opponents. They will establish game dominance, and wear the Saint's D down by the fourth quarter.
Now, let's go get them!
