Honest prediction:

Crowd is hyped and this will be a good game. Some degree of offensive fireworks but over the course of the game Brees proves to be Garcia's superior and the Eagles can't put quite enough pressure on him to offset it. Saints score a late FG to ice it.

Kinda hope I'm wrong there (and you guys have a very good shot of that being the case) as an Eagles win would offer me a better shot of lining my pockets with a little playoff fantasy green, but lots of offense on both sides would be nice regardless.

I too have a bad feeling about this game. I can see the Eagles winning b/c the Saints are just too inexperienced in the post season.

Conversely, I'm not sure that that inexperience will be a factor for these current Saints b/c they aren't the Saints of old and they may be just young enough to not realize the magnitude of the moment.

If the Birds win, they can beat either the Bears or Seahawks on the road, though I think the Bears are the easier victory then the inconsistent but seasoned Seahawks.

Hope I'm wrong but I see the run ending here . . . if they manage to win I'll be in full on Kool-Aid euphoria and next week I'll be fighting the urge to predict a SB WIN.

That said, I see it as:

Greens-24
Golds-31

GGB,

I think it is entirely appropriate to condemn those who use "we" when discussing the Birds, or any other sports team they root for, for that matter.

Long before I came to the level, I used to call folks and using the "we/us" pronouns when referring to a team they obviously weren't a member of.

It is a matter of semantics, and it is a small foul, but an annoying one that those who abhor it have every right to ridicule. And you, in turn, are welcome to chastise those who do so, while defending those who use "we/us."

When they win it's "we", when they lose it's "they"

I think you'll find it goes like this:

I win
We draw
They lose

Oh, wait, this is the U.S. and there are no draws...
