I was asleep during parts of the game...and I woke up some time during the 3rd or 4th qtr. to hear the Shawn Andrews had left the game b/c of injury. My first thought was, "Was Hollis Thomas involved?" (Wasn't Hollis involved earlier in the season when Shawn got hurt, during the first N.O. game?) Dirty needle-man Hollis seems to play "extra inspired" when he plays the Eagles - to the point where he's not above "playing dirty" with those who are clearly superior to him (Andrews).

But anyway, so far I haven't gotten my answer. Have there even been any replays of the play where Shawn got hurt? Usually there are dozens of replays whenever there is a significant injury to a significant player - maybe I missed the initial analysis of the situation - but there certainly hasn't been anything showing what happened since. Then I thought about the huge media movement that is "rooting for" N.O. (a lot of people have complained about the obvious N.O. bias of the game broadcast) - and wondered if they are "ignoring" what happened to Shawn b/c they don't want to show anything that would possibly make N.O. players look anything less than, well, saints. Let's keep the myth and the "feel good" fairy tale going - at all costs! If we have to lie a little, and omit images of washed-up, needled-up N.O. defensemen snapping opponents' necks - so be it!

What is the word on Shawn? What happened?

Oh - and it's a shame that the kid probably won't be able to go to the Pro Bowl (isn't it his first?).

I missed that. Telemundo was running a marathon of the Air Bud movies. Air Bud: Golden Receiver was on at that time.

I was on Telemundo trying to figure out when Football would start in place of whatever special they were airing of some guys kicking a ball around.

Did the Eagles play this weekend? Jimmy Johnson said they wouldn't make the Playoffs, so I stopped following them. I was watching the latest release from Bollywood.
