See, I'd disagree.

On 1 hand, Im a McNabb guy and defend him here routinely- always have- when the topic comes up of his net worth.

But his attitude, well, it sucks, and Im not 1 of these toolbag homers who will defend a guy who couldn't give a rat's ass what I think to begin with, when they have such obvious character flaws.

So, I just call it down the middle on this issue.

My post was largely directed towards ol' EEB.

One of the nicer guys to post here, he always seems to take the 'wise old hippie' approach to his posts- and rarely has an unflattering word for anyone (except his patented self effacing humor where spankin it is concerned).

seth, i understand your comments and you are correct, you are usually a dmac guy, and i usually take the high ground with most of the players. my comments arent as much of a slap at garcia as they are directed towards the mindless sheep in this town who are never satisfied with what they got in mcnabb, and always want something different because it just has to be better. no, it doesn't. next yr, it will be AJ everyone wants, and on and on and on.

It's fun enough to crack jokes about him, his mom, and his various unfunny personality, but I don't blame the guy for disliking Philly.

My response:

Yes. McNabb puts up with a lot of bad comments, but regarding Garcia, I have to say that it felt to me that the run defense, run offense, Shawn Andrews getting hurt, and Westbrook missing an easy catch lost that game more than Garcia, even though Garcia had some passes that were off.

while on the other hand, when McNabb gets into throwing those worm burners, it really does feel like McNabb personally lost a game, likewise when he threw up in the Superbowl, and of course it really gets you thinking when the team goes from losing straight games under McNabb to winning games under Garcia. (Not saying that it's the whole story, but it is the most visible change).

I am just saying that some of the McNabb criticism is natural and to be expected, as is Garcia getting a little bit of a free ride.

you're right, garcia didnt lose the game single handedly. but my point is if mcnabb had played the exact same way in the exact same game, all we would have heard about the last 19 days was how he choked again, cant win the big game and isnt the QB to lead this team to a championship. the fans in this town have different criteria for judging mcnabb as compared to every other QB the eagles run out there, so their credibility lacks and their agenda shows though.
