McNabb, according to some people close to him, is not pleased with a lot that has happened since he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in a loss to Tennessee on Nov. 19.

1. Andy Reid did not allow him to travel to the team's playoff game in New Orleans.

Glad he didn't go. I didn't miss seeing the cameras zoom in on him standing on the sidelines with a sour puss look on his face.

2. McNabb also may be getting a vibe that some in the organization prefer Garcia over him.

What a fkn cry baby. You thin-skinned doofus. Get the fk over what other people think or what the media prints about you.
Stop begging for everyone one to love/like you.

3. He was not pleased with the way his mother, Wilma, has been portrayed by Eagles fans and the local media for her blog on his Web site in which she stated that watching the Eagles win without her son "is bittersweet."

WILLLLLLLLMAAAAAA!!! Tell you stupid ass mommy to shut the fk up and keep your name out of her mouth. Every time she thinks or speaks she weakens the nation. Distance yourself from her and start by getting her ugly fat face off your web site.

Another good PR move for Super 5 would be to get Carmella DeCesare to be his spokes person.

He should put pictures of her on his web site and let her have her own web blog.

Get rid of Wilma and give us Carmella's Corner.

sec, you may have just unknowingly discovered the reason #5 doesn't get/feel the love of the Philly fans...

lets take a look at the last two fan favorite QB's... AJ and Garcia... AJ was more than willing to allow the fans to stare and gawk at Heather and Garcia has on more than one occasion been thought to be over-compensating for the rumors about his sexual prefferance by putting his little muffin out in front... YET #5 keeps his wife at home having babies and taking care of the house the way a good woman should; so why is he picked on?!? because he hides his woman away from our collective drooling...

Just a thought...

look, the bottom line here is that people are looking in the wrong place when looking at McNabb. Garcia's great, but he's not the answer as he can't throw the ball downfield. If he could the Eagles would have blown the Saints out.

The answer here is Marty Morningweg who will hopefully take the pressure off McNabb. Everyone has always been critical of Reid relying too much on the pass and that's too much pressure to put on anyone when you're passing 70% of the time. All QBs make mistakes and those mistakes will become more frequent when passing all the time.

I don't particularly like McNabb when looking at how he deals with situations. He shouldn't even be allowing his mother to have a space on his website (imagine Michael Jordan doing that...?), but he's a great football player who can win games for this team, especially if the ball is placed in Brian Westbrook's hand more next year (and maybe Michael Bush from Louisville as well?...).

At the end of the day, there's no scenario in trading McNabb that comes out on the positive side for the Eagles next year. McNabb's their best shot at winning the Super Bowl as long as the offense is balanced and the defense is bolstered.

Unless you think Brady Quinn can lead this team to the Super Bowl. I don't.

Section, before you rip McNabb to hard, you have to take Mark Eckel at his his word against no other evidence.

Mark Eckel who printed an article saying the Eagles had signed Bentley.

Martk Eckecl who has a vendetta against the organization.

Mark Eckel who was fired from his job as "Eagles beat writer".

Mark Eckel, who has never liked McNabb, constantly criticized McNabb, and still somehow has access to "sources close to McNabb".

I mean, which of McNabb's closest friends is going to be leaking his secrets to McNabb's most critical enemy in the press?

I have NO IDEA if his reports are true or not, but you may want to measure your words considering the source.

I highly doubt the veracity of Eckel's "reporting" and am a bit surprised to see you taken in by it/accepting it as COMPLETE fact section (but we all have our biases, I guess).

And because I'm in a bit of glory hound mood today, I'd like to point out AGAIN that it was I who first spoke in positive terms about Gaffney on the level, and predicted he would be an Eagle long before he hit free agency (it was my blind squirrel/nut moment and I'm damn proud). And I agree with FD in his assessment of Gaffney as a player who is not a star but has the tools to be a good wideout for several years to come. But I'll also give my ascent to FB's point that Brady probably makes WRs look better than Donnnie b/c of his superior ball placement.

On Gaffney, I'm half kidding at this point, but I never expected him to be cut. I thought he was a 700-800 yard (maybe better) WR in this offense.

It will be interesting to see if the Pats keep him around or upgrade him, but I don't give a shit anymore.

I'm starting to look at DMac like a neo-Elway...a great QB that was relied on too heavily early in his career. Once Elway got a RB to complement his passing game, he won two SBs. Nobody will doubt that Westbrook CAN BE that back after this past season. I do believe that with Morningwood calling the plays that the Eagles are a clear divisional favorite. We should be able to run the division table next season and 12 wins should be enough for a bye. If you get the balanced playcalling next season, we resign Stallworth, and the defense finds the right mix to stop the run more effectively, there's no reason why McNabb can't have a few years like Elway did at the end of his career. Recall that in the two SB winning seasons, Elway wasn't asked to do the things that he did in the playoffs in the 80s...take the game on his shoulders, be the sole focal point of the offense, etc. McNabb would do well to be in a similar situation. 70% passing offenses will never work for him long term as he makes questionable decisions and plays inconsistently at times. If Westy takes more of the load off about 50/50, and if McNabb continues to have Stallworth and Brown at WR, he can do great things (just not alone).

John Clayton is reporting the Eckel story on ESPN (as reports out of Philly). Lazy journalism run amok. One man lies and the other swears to it.

ESPN is just getting harder and harder to watch every day.

The part of me that wants to run with this would believe that this is part of the reason why Reid cancelled McNabb's press conference. It'd be interesting that if McNabb were really dissatisfied (especially with the media), if he'd make a huge deal out of it.

And the worst part is that he doesn't have a statement saying otherwise (or anything), so the media speculation will continue to get under his skin further. Which makes next week's Chunky Soup chumpie more interesting.

I don't believe everything I read in the papers or see on TV.

But I will stick by what I said.

1. Tell your Momma to shut up and get her sorry ass off your web site.

2. Stop fkn pouting & and worrying if everybody loves you.

3. And the most important issue of all is get Carmella as your spokes person.

Think we all know who will be the QB here next year unless he can't get back from the injury.

Exactly.

I haven't really watched ESPN in a couple years and rarely even check their web site since they to the pay format.

I often wonder who would pay a monthly fee for that complete nonsense?

I do listen to ESPN Radio from time to time, though. It's not nearly as bad.

The ESPN website is an example of what a website would look like if 10 15-year-olds with ADD put it together.

Sensory overload. I guess they really do subscribe to the theory of "throw enough crap at the wall and see what sticks". That, or "if you can't wow 'em with writing, baffle 'em with BS".

And ANY article that mentions anything about future analysis is Insider only. Meanwhile, there are about 1000 other websites out there that are free, more accurate, and don't harass you with those annoying videos and Flash plug-ins, etc. Including CBSsportsline (occasional video that's easy to turn off), etc.

OUT for ESPN except for:

1) Straight sports programming.

2) The occasional flip to ESPN news, esp. if I happen to be home during the day and something dramatic happened like Cory Lidle took a hard left or Bo died.

I don't go to bed before such things are settled, usually via the league website/CBS.
